Abstract

Description
本出願は、2001年9月21日付けの「増強した可逆的熱特性を有する多成分繊維」という題のMagillらの米国特許出願第09/960,591号の一部継続出願である2002年1月15日付けの「増強した可逆的熱特性を有する多成分繊維及びその製造方法」という題のMagillらの米国特許出願第10/052,232号の一部継続出願である2003年8月7日付けの「増強した可逆的熱特性を有するセルロース系繊維及びその形成方法」という題のHartmannらの米国特許出願第10/638,290号の一部継続出願である2006年7月27日付け米国特許出願第11/495,156号の利益を請求するものである。上述の各出願の開示は、その全体が本明細書に参考により組み入れられている。
本発明の実施形態は、増強した可逆的熱特性を有する繊維及びかかる繊維の用途に関する。特に、本発明のさまざまな実施形態が、相変化材料を含むセルロース系繊維に関する。本発明のさまざまな実施形態に従ったセルロース系繊維は、異なる環境条件下で熱エネルギーを吸収しそして放出する能力を有する。さらに、セルロース系繊維は、加工性の改善(例えばセルロース系繊維又はそれから作られる製品の形成中)、より低いコスト(例えばセルロース系繊維又はそれから作られる製品の形成中)、機械的特性の改善、セルロース系繊維内への相変化材料の封じ込めの改善、及び相変化材料のより高い負荷レベルを示す可能性がある。

Claims (26)
- セルロース系材料及びこのセルロース系材料中に分散した複数のマイクロカプセルを含む繊維本体を含むセルロース系繊維において、複数のマイクロカプセルが、少なくとも40J/gの潜熱及び0℃〜100℃の範囲内の転移温度をもつ相変化材料を封じ込め、相変化材料が、転移温度での潜熱の吸収及び放出のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいた熱調節を提供する、セルロース系繊維。
- セルロース系材料がセルロース及び酢酸セルロースのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 複数のマイクロカプセルが0.1〜20ミクロンの範囲内のサイズを有する、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 複数のマイクロカプセルが、そのサイズに関して単分散である、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 相変化材料の潜熱が60J/g〜400J/gの範囲内にある、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 相変化材料の転移温度が0℃〜50℃の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 相変化材料がパラフィン系炭化水素を含んでいる請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
- 相変化材料が多価アルコールを含む、請求項1に記載のセルロース系繊維。
