Description
Claims (22)
- 基材の長手方向軸に沿って配置された1つ以上の基準を検知する工程と、
前記検知された基準に基づいて、1つ以上の連続的で周期的なセンサ信号を生成する工程と、
前記基材の移動に基づいて、1つ以上の連続的で周期的な移動信号を生成する工程と、
前記センサ信号と前記移動信号との間の位相差を決定する工程と、
前記位相差に基づいて誤差信号を生成する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 前記基準を検知する工程が、1つ以上の実質的に連続的で周期的な基準を検知する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基準を検知する工程が、互いに位相がずれている2つの実質的に連続的で周期的な基準を検知する工程を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上のセンサ信号を生成する工程が、正弦センサ信号と余弦センサ信号とを生成する工程を含み、
前記1つ以上の移動信号を生成する工程が、正弦移動信号と余弦移動信号とを生成する工程を含み、
前記センサ信号と前記移動信号との間の位相差を決定する工程が、
前記正弦センサ信号と前記余弦移動信号との第1の積を決定する工程と、
前記余弦センサ信号と前記正弦移動信号との第2の積を決定する工程と、
前記第1の積と前記第2の積との間の差を決定する工程と、を含み、
前記誤差信号を生成する工程が、前記第1の積と前記第2の積との間の差の逆正弦を得る工程を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記移動信号を前記誤差信号に基づいて調整する工程を更に含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記長手方向軸に沿った基材位置を前記調整された移動センサ信号に基づいて決定する工程を更に含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 製造プロセスを前記基材位置に基づいて制御する工程を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記基材の移動を前記調整された移動センサ信号に基づいて制御する工程を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。

前記参照基準に基づいて前記1つ以上の基準の振幅を決定する工程と、を更に含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記基材の前記長手方向軸に沿って配置された参照基準を検知する工程と、
前記参照基準を使用してウェブの横方向位置を決定する工程と、を更に含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記基準を検知する工程が、1つ以上の実質的に連続的で周期的な基準を検知する工程を含み、
前記基材上の別個の基準マークを検出する工程と、前記別個の基準マークの検出に基づいて前記周期的な基準マークの近くのゼロ交差の識別を開始する工程と、を更に含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 基材の長手方向軸に沿って配置された1つ以上の基準を検知し、前記基準に基づいて1つ以上の連続的で周期的なセンサ信号を生成するように構成されたセンサモジュールと、
前記基材の移動に基づいて1つ以上の連続的で周期的な移動信号を生成するように構成された信号生成器と、
前記センサ信号と前記移動信号との間で位相差を決定し、前記位相差に基づいて誤差信号を生成するように構成された位相検出器と、を含むシステム。 - 前記基材が、回転ドラムに配置された細長い可撓性ウェブを含み、
前記信号生成器が、前記ドラムの回転を検出するように構成されたエンコーダを含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。 - 前記1つ以上の基準が、互いに位相がずれている2つの実質的に連続的で周期的な基準を含む、請求項12又は13に記載のシステム。
- 前記基準が正弦基準と余弦基準とを含む、請求項12〜14のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記誤差信号に基づいて前記移動信号を調整するように構成されたフィードバック回路を更に含む、請求項12〜15のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記基材上の物品を製造するように構成された製造システムと、
前記調整された移動信号を使用して前記製造システムを制御するように構成された制御回路と、を更に含む、請求項16に記載のシステム。 - 前記調整された移動センサ信号に基づいて前記長手方向軸に沿って基材位置を決定するように構成された基材位置回路を更に含む、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の基準が、1つ以上の実質的に連続的で周期的な基準を含み、
前記センサモジュールが、前記周期的な基準のゼロ交差を検出するように構成され、
前記基材位置回路が、前記検出されたゼロ交差に基づいて絶対的な位置決定を行うように構成される、請求項18に記載のシステム。 - 前記センサモジュールが、前記基材の前記長手方向軸に沿って配置された一連の別個の基準を検出するように構成され、
前記基材位置回路が、前記別個の基準マークの検出に基づいて前記ゼロ交差の識別を開始するように構成される、請求項18〜19のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - 前記センサモジュールが、前記基材の前記長手方向軸に沿って配置された参照基準を検知するように更に構成され、
前記基材位置回路が、前記参照基準と前記1つ以上の基準との間の距離に基づいて、前記基材の横方向軸に沿って基材位置を決定するように構成される、請求項18〜20のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - 前記センサモジュールが、前記基材の前記長手方向軸に沿って配置された参照基準を検知するように更に構成され、
前記基材位置回路が、前記参照基準に基づいて前記1つ以上の基準の振幅を決定するように構成される、請求項18〜21のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
