Claims (21)
- 治療薬の送達を容易にするのに適した器械であって、
圧力源と、
近位端及び遠位端を有し、前記圧力源からの流体を受け入れるための入口が前記近位端に設けられている容器と、
前記容器内に配置されている治療薬と、
近位端及び遠位端を有する管状部材であって、前記近位端が前記容器内に配置されている、管状部材と、
前記容器内において前記入口と前記管状部材の前記近位端との間に配置されている流れ障害部材であって、流体が当該流れ障害部材を周って前記管状部材の前記近位端に向かって流れるような構造であり、当該流れ障害部材と前記管状部材とは互いに間隔を空けて配置されており、それによって、流体が当該流れ障害部材を周って流れて、前記治療薬が前記管状部材の中へ引き込まれて前記管状部材を通して遠位方向に向かって流れるようになる、流れ障害部材と、
を備えている器械。 - 前記容器の前記近位端に配置されている少なくとも1つのシール部材と、前記容器の前記遠位端に配置されている少なくとも1つのシール部材と、を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記容器の前記近位端及び前記遠位端に配置されているスイッチであって、各スイッチの内部に開口部が設置されているスイッチを更に備えており、
前記スイッチは、前記開口部が、前記容器の前記近位端及び前記遠位端と流体連通していない第1位置と、前記容器の前記近位端及び前記遠位端と流体連通している第2位置とを有している、請求項1に記載の器械。 - 前記流れ障害部材は球状である、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記流れ障害部材は、丸い端部の側が前記入口に面するような向きに配置されている涙滴形である、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記容器に接続されている支持構造体であって、半径方向内向きに突き出ている支持部材を有し、該支持部材を介して前記流れ障害部材に接続されている支持構造体を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記管状部材を前記容器の略半径方向中心に維持する栓を備える、請求項6に記載の器械。
- 前記容器は約2.286cmから約2.794cmの範囲にある外径を有し、前記流れ障害部材は約0.635cmから約0.889cmの範囲にある直径を有し、前記管状部材は約0.4826cmから約0.5588cmの範囲にある内径を有し、前記流れ障害部材と前記管状部材との間の距離は約0.25mmから約0.35mmの範囲にある、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記流体と前記治療薬は前記管状部材内で一体に混合されて混合物を形成し、前記混合物は前記流体中で前記治療薬が概ね均一に分散している、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 前記流体と前記治療薬は前記管状部材内で一体に混合されて混合物を形成し、前記混合物の治療薬の体積流量が一定である、請求項1に記載の器械。
- 治療薬を収容して目標部位へ送達するのに適した器械であって、
圧力源と、
近位端及び遠位端を有するカテーテルと、
近位端及び遠位端を有し、内部に治療薬が配置される容器であって、該遠位端が前記カテーテルの前記近位端と流体連通している、容器と、
近位端及び遠位端を有する第1の中空管であって、該遠位端が前記容器の前記近位端と流体連通している、第1の中空管と、
近位端及び遠位端を有する第2の中空管であって、該遠位端が前記カテーテルの前記近位端と流体連通している、第2の中空管と、を備えており、
前記圧力源が前記第1の中空管の前記近位端及び前記容器と流体連通している第1の状態であって、前記容器の少なくとも一部を通る前記圧力源からの流体の供給によって、前記治療薬が前記容器の前記遠位端に向い、さらに前記カテーテルを通って前記目標部位に向けて遠位方向に押し進められるようになる、第1の状態と、
前記圧力源が前記第2の中空管の前記近位端と流体連通していて且つ前記カテーテルの前記近位端と連通する第2の状態であって、前記圧力源からの流体の供給が、前記容器を迂回し、前記カテーテルを通って流れる、第2の状態と、を含む少なくとも2通りの状態に操作できる、器械。 - 前記圧力源は、圧縮ガス分注器を備えている、請求項11に記載の器械。
- 前記カテーテルの前記遠位端が、配備状態で半径方向に展開する形状記憶材料で構成されている、請求項11に記載の器械。
- 近位端及び遠位端を有し、前記容器内を長手方向に延びている管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記近位端に隣接して配置されている流れ障害部材と、を更に備えている、請求項11に記載の器械。 - 前記圧力源と前記第1及び第2の中空管との間に置かれている弁を更に備えており、
前記弁は、前記圧力源と前記第1及び第2の中空管との間の流体連通を維持し、前記圧力源を前記第1の中空管と流体連通させるか又は第2の中空管と流体連通させるかを制御する開口部がその内部に設置されているピストンを有する、請求項11に記載の器械。 - 治療薬を収容して目標部位へ送達するのに適した方法であって、
圧力源を準備する段階と、
近位端及び遠位端を有し、内部に治療薬が配置されている容器を準備する段階と、
近位端及び遠位端を有しているカテーテルであって、該近位端が前記容器の前記遠位端と連通しているカテーテルを準備する段階と、
近位端及び遠位端を有する第1の中空管であって、該遠位端が前記容器の前記近位端と流体連通している第1の中空管を準備する段階と、
近位端及び遠位端を有する第2の中空管であって、該遠位端が前記カテーテルの前記近位端と流体連通している第2の中空管を準備する段階と、
前記圧力源を前記第1の中空管の前記近位端及び前記容器に連通させて、前記圧力源からの流体を前記容器の少なくとも一部を通して提供し、前記治療薬を前記容器の前記遠位端に向かわせ、さらに前記カテーテルを通して、前記目標部位に向けて遠位方向に押し進める段階と、
前記圧力源を前記第2の中空管の前記近位端及び前記カテーテルに連通して、前記圧力源からの流体を前記カテーテルに提供し、前記容器を迂回する段階と、とを含む方法。 - 前記容器が、
近位端及び遠位端を備え、前記容器内を長手方向に延びている管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記近位端に隣接して配置されている流れ障害部材と、を備えている、請求項16に記載の方法。 - 前記流れ障害部材は、前記治療薬を、前記流れ障害部材を周って前記管状部材に向かって層流状に流れるようにする形状となっている、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力源は、所定量の薬剤を前記目標部位に向けて押し進めるために、所定の時間に亘って前記第1の中空管の前記近位端と連通される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力源は、前記カテーテルから治療薬を除去するために、前記第2の中空管の前記近位端と連通される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記治療薬は止血を促すために使用される、請求項16に記載の方法。
