Abstract
【解決手段】メントールを殆ど含まないが、メントールを含む組成物とほぼ同様の生理的感覚をもたらす組成物と、揮発保留剤とを含有する清涼組成物を調製することにより解決する。かかる組成物は、約10〜25質量%の量のメントンと、約10〜25質量%の量のイソメントンと、約2.5〜15質量%の量のイソプレゴールと、約15〜25質量%の量のコハク酸モノメンチルと、約5〜30質量%の量の乳酸メンチルと、1.0〜10質量%の量の揮発保留剤とを含むことが好ましい。

Description
本願明細書において用いられる場合、「有する(comprising)」(「有する(comprises)」等も同様)という移行句は、「含む(including)」、「含む(containing)」、又は「〜を特徴とする(characterized by)」と同義で、包括的又は非制限的であり、請求項の前提部又は本体のいずれで用いられているかにかかわらず、他の列挙されていない要素又は方法における工程を排除しない。

(a)ジヒドロカルコン、モネリン、ステビオシド、グリシルリジン、ジヒドロフラベノール、及びソルビトール、マニトール、マルチトール等の糖アルコール、及び米国特許第4,619,834号(開示は、参照により本願明細書に組み入れられる)に開示されたもの等のL−アミノジカルボン酸アミノアルケン酸エステルアミド、並びにこれらの混合物等の水溶性甘味料;
(b)可溶性サッカリン塩(サッカリンナトリウム塩又はカルシウム塩)、チクロ、3,4−ジヒドロ−6−メチル−1,2,3−オキサチアジン−4−オン−2,2−ジオキシドのナトリウム塩、アンモニウム塩、又はカルシウム塩、3,4−ジヒドロ−6−メチル−1,2,3−オキサチアジン−4−オン−2,2−ジオキシドのカリウム塩(アセスルフェームK)、遊離酸型のサッカリン、及びこれらの混合物等の水溶性人工甘味料;
(c)L−アスパルチル−L−フェニルアラニンメチルエステル(アスパルテーム)、及び米国特許第3,492,131号に記載の物質、L−α−アスパルチル−N−(2,2,4,4−テトラメチル−3−チエタニル)−D−アラニンアミド水和物(アリテーム)、N−[N−(3,3−ジメチルブチル)−L−α−アスパルチル]−L−フェニルアラニン 1−メチルエステル(ネオテーム)、L−アスパルチル−L−フェニルグリセリンのメチルエステル及びL−アスパルチル−L−2,5−ジヒドロフェニルグリシン、L−アスパルチル−2,5−ジヒドロ−L−フェニルアラニン、L−アスパルチル−L−(1−シクロヘキセン)−アラニン等のL−アスパラギン酸誘導体甘味料、及びこれらの混合物等の、ジペプチド系甘味料;
(d)例えば、スクラロースの商品名で知られているクロロデオキシスクロース又はクロロデオキシガラクトスクロースの誘導体等のクロロデオキシ糖誘導体等の、通常の砂糖(スクロース)の塩素化誘導体等の天然の水溶性甘味料から誘導される水溶性甘味料;クロロデオキシスクロース及びクロロデオキシガラクトスクロース誘導体の例としては、1−クロロ−1’−デオキシスクロース、4−クロロ−4−デオキシ−α−D−ガラクトピラノシル−α−D−フルクトフラノシド、又は4−クロロ−4−デオキシガラクトスクロース、4−クロロ−4−デオキシ−α−D−ガラクトピラノシル−1−クロロ−1−デオキシ−β−D−フルクト−フラノシド、又は4,1’−ジクロロ−4,1’−ジデオキシガラクトスクロース、1’,6’−ジクロロ−1’,6’−ジデオキシスクロース、4−クロロ−4−デオキシ−α−D−ガラクトピラノシル−1,6−ジクロロ−1,6−ジデオキシ−β−D−フルクトフラノシド、又は4,1’,6’−トリクロロ−4,1’,6’−トリデオキシガラクトスクロース、4,6−ジクロロ−4,6−ジデオキシ−α−D−ガラクトピラノシル−6−クロロ−6−デオキシ−β−D−フルクトフラノシド、又は4,6,6’−トリクロロ−4,6,6’−トリデオキシガラクトスクロース、6,1’,6’−トリクロロ−6,1’,6’−トリデオキシスクロース、4,6−ジクロロ−4,6−ジデオキシ−α−D−ガラクト−ピラノシル−1,6−ジクロロ−1,6−ジデオキシ−β−D−フルクトフラノシド、又は4,6,1’,6’−テトラクロロ−4,6,1’,6’−テトラデオキシガラクト−スクロース、及び4,6,1’,6’−テトラデオキシ−スクロース、並びにこれらの混合物等が挙げられるが、これらに限定されない;
(e)タウマッコスダニエリ(タウマチンI及びII)及びタリン等のタンパク質系甘味料;
(f)甘味料モナチン(2−ヒドロキシ−2−(インドール−3−イルメチル)−4−アミノグルタル酸)及びその誘導体;並びに
(g)甘味料羅漢果(Lo han guo)(「Lo han kuo」と呼ばれる場合もある)。
本願明細書の説明は、全体として、メントール単独の生理的効果とほぼ同様の生理的効果をもたらす個々の物質の清涼組成物を含む菓子製品にも及ぶ。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「菓子」という用語には、ヌガー、キャンディー、焼き菓子、ゼリー菓子、フォンダン、チュワブルキャンディー、グミキャンディー、薬用キャンディー、ハードキャンディー、ミント、トローチ、芳香錠、マイクロカプセル、及び凍結乾燥体を含む速溶性固形物(ケーキ、ウェハース、薄いフィルム及びタブレット)及び圧縮タブレットを含む速溶性固形物が挙げられるがこれらに限定されない。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「速溶性固形物」とは、口腔内において60秒以内、好ましくは15秒以内、さらに好ましくは5秒以内に溶解する固体剤形を意味する。薬用キャンディーには、香味を有する基材中に治療剤を含む円板状の固形物が含まれる。基材は、ハードシュガーキャンディー、グリセリンを含むゼラチン、及び成形するために適当な粘液質と組み合わせた砂糖であってよい。圧縮錠剤は、通常、1種類又は複数種類の充填剤(圧縮糖)、香味料及び潤滑剤を含んでいる。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「菓子」という用語は、チョコレート、ミルクチョコレート、ブラックチョコレート、ホワイトチョコレート及びこれらの組み合わせ等の脂質を基材とする菓子を含んでいてもよい。
ある実施形態において、口腔に送達される製品は、種々の軟質菓子の形態を取ってよい。軟質菓子の形態としては、ヌガー、キャラメル、タフィー、グミ及びゼリーが挙げられるがこれらに限定されない。
ある実施形態において、口腔に送達される製品は、種々のチョコレート菓子の形態を取ってよい。チョコレート菓子としては、ミルクチョコレート、ブラックチョコレート、及び/又はホワイトチョコレートが挙げられる。ミルクチョコレートは、ココアリカー、カカオバター、及び/又は他の油脂、甘味料、乳化剤、香味料等の他のミルクチョコレートの成分と共に固形乳を含んでいてもよい。ある実施形態において、固形乳は、ミルクチョコレート組成物の5質量%から、ミルクチョコレート組成物の40質量%を超える量であってもよい。固形乳は、乾燥ミルクパウダー又は液体のミルクの形態であってよい。

Claims (11)
- メントン、イソメントン、カンファー及びユーカリプトールのうち1つ以上によってもたらされるメントールに固有の「鼻への作用」を提供する少なくとも1種の化合物と、
ユーカリプトール、カンファー、ボルネオール、フェンコン、メントン及びイソメントンのうち1つ以上によってもたらされるメントールに固有の「芳香」を提供する少なくとも1種の化合物と、
イソプレゴール、コハク酸モノメンチル及び乳酸メンチルのうち1つ以上によってもたらされるメントールに固有の「清涼効果」を提供する少なくとも1種の化合物と、
メントン、イソメントン、ボルネオール、フェンコン、ユーカリ、ユーカリプトール、安息香酸エチル、ネオメントール、d−フェンコン、酪酸フルフリリデン、ブチュ画分、セージ油、コーンミント油、ローズマリー、コハク酸モノメンチル、サリチル酸アミル、オイゲノール、フェランドレン、フランカルボン酸プロピル、3−ヒドロキシ酪酸エチル、吉草酸ヘキシル、プロピオン酸アニシル、酪酸アニシル、ジヒドロカルベオール、及びクラリセージのうち1つ以上によってもたらされるメントールに固有の「ミント様の風味」を提供する少なくとも1種の化合物と、
1.0〜10質量%の量の揮発保留剤とを含み、実質的にメントールを含まない組成物。 - メントン及びイソメントンが、15〜25質量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- コハク酸モノメンチル及び乳酸メンチルを、15〜30質量%含む、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 前記揮発保留剤は、ビリジフロロール又は他の揮発保留剤であり、その含有量は3〜6質量%である、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- イソプレゴールを、3〜6質量%含む、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。

- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の組成物を含むチューインガム。

2.5〜15質量%の量のイソプレゴールと、
15〜25質量%の量のコハク酸モノメンチルと、
5〜30質量%の量の乳酸メンチルと、
1.0〜10質量%の量の揮発保留剤とを含む、メントールを含む組成物とほぼ同様の生理的感覚をもたらす、実質的にメントールを含まない組成物。 - 1.0〜2.0質量%の量のユーカリプトールと、1.0〜2.0質量%の量のカンファーとをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の組成物。
- さらに、ビリジフロロールを2.0〜10質量%含む、請求項10に記載の組成物。
