Abstract
【解決手段】メントールを殆ど含まないが、メントールを含む組成物とほぼ同様の生理的感覚をもたらす組成物を調製することにより解決する。かかる組成物は、約10〜25質量%の量のメントンと、約10〜25質量%の量のイソメントンと、約2.5〜15質量%の量のイソプレゴールと、約15〜25質量%の量のコハク酸モノメンチルと、約5〜30質量%の量の乳酸メンチルとを含むことが好ましい。

本願明細書の説明は、全体として、メントール単独の生理的効果とほぼ同様の生理的効果をもたらす個々の物質の清涼組成物を含む菓子製品にも及ぶ。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「菓子」という用語には、ヌガー、キャンディー、焼き菓子、ゼリー菓子、フォンダン、チュワブルキャンディー、グミキャンディー、薬用キャンディー、ハードキャンディー、ミント、トローチ、芳香錠、マイクロカプセル、及び凍結乾燥体を含む速溶性固形物(ケーキ、ウェハース、薄いフィルム及びタブレット)及び圧縮タブレットを含む速溶性固形物が挙げられるがこれらに限定されない。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「速溶性固形物」とは、口腔内において60秒以内、好ましくは15秒以内、さらに好ましくは5秒以内に溶解する固体剤形を意味する。薬用キャンディーには、香味を有する基材中に治療剤を含む円板状の固形物が含まれる。基材は、ハードシュガーキャンディー、グリセリンを含むゼラチン、及び成形するために適当な粘液質と組み合わせた砂糖であってよい。圧縮錠剤は、通常、1種類又は複数種類の充填剤(圧縮糖)、香味料及び潤滑剤を含んでいる。本願明細書において用いられる場合、「菓子」という用語は、チョコレート、ミルクチョコレート、ブラックチョコレート、ホワイトチョコレート及びこれらの組み合わせ等の脂質を基材とする菓子を含んでいてもよい。

- メントン及びイソメントンを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約10〜約50質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- メントン及びイソメントンを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約15〜約25質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- コハク酸モノメンチル及び乳酸メンチルを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約5〜約75質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- コハク酸モノメンチル及び乳酸メンチルを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約10〜約50質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- コハク酸モノメンチル及び乳酸メンチルを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約15〜約30質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- ビリジフロロール又は他の固定剤を前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約11〜約10質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- ビリジフロロールを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約3〜約6質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項53に記載の菓子。
- イソプレゴールを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約1〜約10質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- イソプレゴールを前記清涼組成物中の他の成分に対し約3〜約6質量%含有する清涼組成物を含む、請求項55に記載の菓子。
- ほぼメントールと同様の感覚をもたらすために選択されたもの以外に、清涼剤を更に含む、請求項40に記載の菓子。
- 更に含む清涼剤が、(1)式(I)で表される化合物:
- ハードキャンディー、ソフトキャンディー、ゼリーキャンディー、グミキャンディー、ヌガー、キャラメル、チョコレート及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選ばれる、請求項39に記載の菓子。

- 前記投与される組成物は、メントールに固有の「鼻への作用」、メントールに固有の「芳香」、メントールに固有の「清涼効果」及びメントールに固有の「ミント様の風味」を提供する少なくとも1種の化合物を含む、請求項60に記載の方法。
- 前記投与される組成物はチューインガムに含まれる、請求項60に記載の方法。
- 前記投与される組成物は菓子に含まれる、請求項60に記載の方法。
- 約10〜25質量%の量のメントンと、約10〜25質量%の量のイソメントンと、約2.5〜15質量%の量のイソプレゴールと、約15〜25質量%の量のコハク酸モノメンチルと、約5〜30質量%の量の乳酸メンチルとを含む、メントールを含む組成物とほぼ同様の生理的感覚をもたらす組成物。
- さらに、ユーカリプトールを約1.0〜約2.0質量%含む、請求項64に記載の組成物。
- さらに、カンファーを約1.0〜約2.0質量%含む、請求項64に記載の組成物。
- さらに、ビリジフロロールを約2.0〜約10質量%含む、請求項64に記載の組成物。
- さらに、WS−14を約5〜約25質量%含む、請求項64に記載の組成物。
- 請求項64に記載の組成物を含むチューインガム組成物。
- 請求項64に記載の組成物を含む菓子組成物。
- 約10〜25質量%の量のメントンと、約10〜25質量%の量のイソメントンと、約2.5〜15質量%の量のイソプレゴールと、約15〜25質量%の量のコハク酸モノメンチルと、約5〜30質量%の量の乳酸メンチルと、約1.0〜2.0質量%の量のユーカリプトールと、約1.0〜2.0質量%の量のカンファーとを含む、メントールを含む組成物とほぼ同様の生理的感覚をもたらす組成物。
- さらに、ビリジフロロールを約2.0〜約10質量%含む、請求項71に記載の組成物。
