Abstract

三菱ガスコーポレーションから購入したMXD6のグレード6007(16.2ポンド)を、Voridian Chemicalから購入した13.8ポンドのPETグレード9663と混合し、得られるブレンド物を1404時間乾燥させた。この混合物の10ポンドに、OM Group,Inc.,クリーブランド,オハイオ州から購入した2.27g(重量で500ppm)のコバルトネオデカノエート(即ち、コバルトイオン基準で128ppm)を加えた。この混合物を手で混合し、次に、定量供給機を備えたWerner and Pfleiderer ZSK−25のツインスクリュー押出機に導いた。押出機の加熱された領域は240と280との間に維持した。押し出されたブレンド物は空冷ベルト上に載せられ、次にペレット化された。得られるペレットは、真空下1204時間再結晶化された。

- (a)(i)希釈剤ポリエステル、(ii)ポリアミド材料、及び(iii)脱酸素材料、を含むプレブレンドを調製すること、
(b)ベースポリエステルを供給すること、
(c)ステップ(a)のプレブレンド及びステップ(b)のベースポリエステルを成形装置に導入して、前記プレブレンド及び前記ベースポリエステルを溶融し混合することを可能とすること、
(d)ステップ(c)の混合物を前記装置内で射出成形又は押出を行って予備成型物を提供し、及び
(e)ステップ(d)の予備成型物を延伸してバリア層を有するプラスチック容器を提供する、方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記プラスチック容器が多層プラスチック容器である方法。
