Abstract
Description

本発明は、改善された光起電装置(「PVD」)および使用方法、より特別には、一体位置決め部および電気端子機構を、改善された光起電装置へおよびそれから電流を送るために有する、改善された光起電装置、ならびにシステムとしての使用に関する。
PV装置,特に建造物構造内に一体化されているような装置(例えば、シングル屋根または外壁覆い)をうまく用いるために改善する努力は、多くの基準を満たさなければならない。PV装置は、耐久性であり(例えば長寿命で、水分および他の環境条件に対して封止されており)、そして製品の所望の寿命時間,好ましくは少なくとも10年間、より好ましくは少なくとも25年間に亘って機械的な酷使から保護されているのがよい。装置は、容易に設置(例えば、従来のシングル屋根または外壁覆いと同様の設置)または交換(例えば損傷した場合)されるのがよい。個別のPV装置を互いに電気的に接続する手段を与えるバランスオブシステム(BOS)が望ましい場合がある。加えて、PV装置は、少なくとも前面で、前面層の材料を分解させることなくUVおよび可視光を伝達するのがよい。
本発明は、耐久性があり、容易に設置され、そして建造物構造上への設置のために装置を一緒に物理的および電気的の両者で容易に接続するための接続手段を与える、PV装置を対象とする。本発明は、「建造物構造」が、例えばルーフデッキ、外壁、単独型プラットフォーム(例えばソーラーファーム)、および/または建造物上の可動式日よけ(全て保護シース覆い(例えば、フェルト、タール紙、箔ライナー、絶縁材料等)を伴いまたは伴わず)を包含できることを前提とすることを理解すべきである。
第1の構成(横列構成)における図1〜5および第2の構成(縦列構成)における図10を参照し、本発明に係る光起電装置(「PVD」)20は、一般的に光起電セルアセンブリ100および不活性部200(これは本体部、またはこれが構造的な支持を与える幾つかの場合では本体支持部ともいうことができる)を含むものとして説明できる。本体部200は、上側表面部202、下側表面部204、およびこれらの間の側壁部を有する。光起電セルアセンブリ100は、セル上側表面部102、セル下側表面部104、およびこれらの間の側壁部を有する。簡潔のために、用語「横列」(row)を以下の教示/特許請求の範囲を通じて用いるが、「横列」および「縦列」(column)は互換可能と考えることができることが理解される。

PVセルアセンブリは、1つ以上の保護層120を含むことができる(図3および4A〜Hに示す通り)。これらの好ましい保護層は、多くの区別される層(各々が光起電セルアセンブリ100を共に保護および/または接続する働きをする)を含むことができる。各々の好ましい層は、以下で更に詳細に説明する。説明は「上部」(例えば要素に対して最も露出する層)から「底部」(例えば建造物または構造に最も近く連絡する層)に移動する。一般的に各々の好ましい層またはシートは、単層であることができ、または自身が副層を含むことができる。
電気回路は、少なくと部分的にPVセルアセンブリ内に収容されているが、電気回路の一部がPVDの本体部または不活性部の中にあってもよい。電気回路140(図2に示す通り)は、電流をPVD20におよび/またはそれから、所望の電気装置(例えば、ブレーカーボックスまたは蓄電装置)におよび/またはそれから、電気的に伝える働きをする多くの部材を含むことができる。部材としては、バスワイヤ142、バイパスダイオード144、少なくとも2つのバス端子146,148、およびリターン回路150を、少なくとも2つのリターン端子152,154とともに挙げることができる。上記の電気部材のいずれかまたは全てが、光起電セルアセンブリ100の中に、そして一体化して位置でき、または、別個に取付けできる(例えばリターン回路は、光起電セルアセンブリ100の一部でなくてもよい)ことが意図される。
