Abstract
【解決手段】環状壁部53と隔壁部22との間に、湾曲状の溝底面55aを有する離間溝55を形成した後に、環状壁部53をフランジ部10a側へ折り曲げて、該環状壁部53とフランジ部10aとを溶接することにより、アウターリム部8または/およびインナーリム部に、離間溝55に基づいて画成される連通空隙61を介して連通する吸音空域25を形成するようにした製造方法である。この方法では、連通空隙61を安定して形成できるため、熱処理工程の際に吸音空域25内の空気が熱膨張することにより生ずる内圧上昇を緩和でき、該内圧上昇による成形不良を抑制できる。

Description
所定温度に加熱保持したアルミニウム合金の溶湯を、上記した車両用ホイール1を成形するための鋳造金型のキャビティに充填し、冷却した後、鋳造成形品51を取り出す鋳造工程を行う。

Claims (2)
- タイヤのビードを支持する表裏のフランジ部およびビードシート部と、表裏のビードシート部間に形成された表裏方向のウエル部とを具備すると共に、
表側フランジ部と表側ビードシート部とが形成された円環状のアウターリム部に、又は/および裏側フランジ部と裏側ビードシート部とが形成された円環状のインナーリム部に、ホイール周方向に沿ってリム空洞部が周成され、且つ該リム空洞部内の内部空域を複数の隔壁部によりホイール周方向に区画して、リム部に装着されたタイヤとにより密閉されるタイヤ内空域の音波を減衰するための吸音空域が形成されたリム部と、
車軸に連結されるディスク部と
を備えた車両用ホイールの製造方法において、
前記リム部のウエル部の外表面から径方向外方へ突出する環状壁部を、少なくとも表裏いずれか一方のフランジ部寄りに周成し、且つ該環状壁部とフランジ部との間に前記隔壁部をホイール周方向に所定間隔で複数形成する鋳造工程と、
前記リム部の環状壁部を一方のフランジ部側へ折り曲げて、該環状壁部の内側壁面を各隔壁部の外側端面に当接させ且つ該環状壁部の外周端部を当該フランジ部にホイール周方向に亘って当接させる折曲加工工程と、
折曲加工した環状壁部の外周端部とフランジ部とをホイール周方向全周に亘って接合することにより、前記ビードシート部とリム空洞部とを形成し且つ各隔壁部により隔てられた前記吸音空域を生成する接合工程と、
所定の熱処理を行う熱処理工程と、
前記吸音空域と外部とを連通する連通孔を、折曲加工した環状壁部に穿設する孔加工工程と
を順次実行する製造方法であって、
前記折曲加工工程前に、環状壁部と各隔壁部との間に、湾曲状の溝底面が設定された所定深さの離間溝を、該隔壁部の幅方向に亘って形成し、
折曲加工工程により環状壁部をフランジ部側へ折曲加工することによって、該環状壁部の内側壁面と隔壁部の外側端面との間に、隣り合う前記吸音空域を連通する連通空隙が前記離間溝により画成されるようにしていることを特徴とする車両用ホイールの製造方法。 - 折曲加工した環状壁部の内側壁面と隔壁部の外側端面との間に形成する連通空隙の、接合工程により生成する吸音空域の断面積に対する開口率が、0.1%以上且つ30%以下となるように、環状壁部と各隔壁部との間に離間溝を形成していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用ホイールの製造方法。
