Abstract
【解決手段】リチウムイオン二次電池は、負極活物質と、正極活物質と、電解液と、を備える。負極活物質は、シリコン単体又はシリコン含有合金を含む。電解液は、リチウム塩及び溶媒を有する。溶媒は、環状カーボネート、鎖状カーボネート、式(1)で表されるフルオロエチレンカーボネート、及び、1,3−プロパンスルトンを含む。電解液中のフルオロエチレンカーボネートの質量濃度Cfが0.1〜3質量%であり、電解液中の1,3−プロパンスルトンの質量濃度Cpが0.1〜3質量%であり、Cf>Cpである。

Description
続いて、上述の本発明に係るチウムイオン二次電池について図1を参照して簡単に説明する。
正極10は、図1に示すように、板状(膜状)の正極集電体12と、正極集電体12上に形成された正極活物質層14とを有している。
正極活物質は、リチウムイオンの吸蔵及び放出、リチウムイオンの脱離及び挿入(インターカレーション)、又は、リチウムイオンと該リチウムイオンのカウンターアニオン(例えば、PF6 −)とのドープ及び脱ドープを可逆的に進行させることが可能であれば特に限定されず、公知の電極活物質を使用できる。例えば、コバルト酸リチウム(LiCoO2)、ニッケル酸リチウム(LiNiO2)、リチウムマンガンスピネル(LiMn2O4)、及び、一般式:LiNixCoyMnzMaO2(x+y+z+a=1、0≦x≦1、0≦y≦1、0≦z≦1、0≦a≦1、MはAl、Mg、Nb、Ti、Cu、Zn、Crより選ばれる1種類以上の元素)で表される複合金属酸化物、リチウムバナジウム化合物(LiV2O5)、オリビン型LiMPO4(ただし、Mは、Co、Ni、Mn又はFe、Mg、Nb、Ti、Al、Zrより選ばれる1種類以上の元素またはVOを示す)、チタン酸リチウム(Li4Ti5O12)等の複合金属酸化物が挙げられる。
負極20は、板状の負極集電体22と、負極集電体22上に形成された負極活物質層24を備える。負極集電体22、結合材、導電助剤は、それぞれ、正極と同様のものを試用できる。
上述の電解液は、正極活物質層14、負極活物質層24、及び、セパレータ18の内部に含有している。なお、本実施形態において、上述の電解液に対して、ゲル化剤を添加してゲル状電解質を形成してもよい。
セパレータ18は、電気絶縁性の多孔体であり、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン又はポリオレフィンからなるフィルムの単層体、積層体や上記樹脂の混合物の延伸膜、或いは、セルロース、ポリエステル及びポリプロピレンからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の構成材料からなる繊維不織布が挙げられる。
ケース50は、その内部に積層体30及び電解液を密封するものである。ケース50は、電解液の外部への漏出や、外部からの電気化学デバイス100内部への水分等の侵入等を抑止できる物であれば特に限定されない。例えば、ケース50として、図1に示すように、金属箔52を高分子膜54で両側からコーティングした金属ラミネートフィルムを利用できる。金属箔52としては例えばアルミ箔を、高分子膜54としてはポリプロピレン等の膜を利用できる。例えば、外側の高分子膜54の材料としては融点の高い高分子例えばポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリアミド等が好ましく、内側の高分子膜54の材料としてはポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等が好ましい。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)と、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)とを容量比で3:7に混合し、さらに、(1)式のフルオロエチレンカーボネート、1,3−プルパンスルトンを、それぞれ、1.70mass%、1.20mass%となるように、添加し、さらに、リチウム塩として1MのLiPF6を添加して電解液を得た。
溶媒の主成分の組成、フルオロエチレンカーボネート(FEC)の濃度Cf、1,3−プロパンスルトンの濃度Cpを、それぞれ表1のように変える以外は、実施例1と同様にした。なお、実施例17では、環状カーボネートとして、さらにプロピレンカーボネート(PC)を添加した。
各電池に対して、4.2Vの定電流定電圧充電により25℃、1Cのレートで充電を行った後、定電流放電を2.5Vまで25℃、1Cのレートで行う充放電サイクルを200回繰り返した時の、1サイクル目の放電容量に対する200サイクル目の放電容量の割合を測定し、サイクル特性とした。結果を表1に示す。また、フルオロエチレンカーボネート(FEC)の濃度Cf、1,3−プロパンスルトンの濃度Cpのグラフ上にサイクル特性を書き込んだものを図2に示す。
