Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明による発光光源と蛍光体から構成される照明器具は、JEM相を母体結晶とし、JEM相は発光中心元素M1(ただし、M1は、Ce、EuおよびTbからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素である)を含有してなり、MAl(Si6−zAlz)N10−zOz(ただし、MはM1を含む金属元素から選ばれる元素、0.1≦z≦3)で示される酸窒化物蛍光体を含むことを特徴とする。

(2)前記金属元素Mは、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Luから選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素であることを特徴とする、前記(1)項に記載の照明器具。
(3)前記金属元素Mは、少なくとも前記M1およびLaであることを特徴とする、前記(2)項に記載の照明器具。
(4)前記M1は、Ceであることを特徴とする、前記(1)項に記載の照明器具。
(5)蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が420nm以上500nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が250nm以上400nm以下であることを特徴とする、前記(4)項に記載の照明器具。
(6)前記M1は、Euであることを特徴とする、前記(3)項に記載の照明器具。
(7)蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が510nm以上550nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が300nm以上480nm以下であることを特徴とする、前記(6)項に記載の照明器具。
(8)前記M1は、Tbであることを特徴とする、前記(3)項に記載の照明器具。
(9)蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が480nm以上560nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が200nm以上300nm以下であることを特徴とする、前記(8)項に記載の照明器具。
(10)前記酸窒化物蛍光体は、M、Si、Al、O、Nの元素(ただし、Mは、前記M1を含む金属元素から選ばれる元素であり、かつ、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Luから選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素)を含有し、組成式MaSibAlcOdNe(式中、a=1とする)で示され、

(12)前記M1はCeであり、かつ、前記MとしてLaとCeとを少なくとも含有し、LaとCeとの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦Ce/La≦10であることを特徴とする、前記(10)項に記載の照明器具。
(13)前記M1はEuであり、かつ、前記MとしてLaとEuとを少なくとも含有し、LaとEuとの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.001≦Eu/La≦1であることを特徴とする、前記(10)項に記載の照明器具。
(14)前記M1はTbであり、かつ、前記MとしてLaとTbとを少なくとも含有し、LaとTbとの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦Tb/La≦10であることを特徴とする、前記(10)項に記載の照明器具。
(15)該発光光源が330〜420nmの波長の光を発するLEDであることを特徴とする、前記(1)項に記載の照明器具。
(16)該発光光源が330〜420nmの波長の光を発するLEDであり、前記蛍光体は、330〜420nmの励起光により520nm以上570nm以下の波長の光を発する緑色蛍光体と、330〜420nmの励起光により570nm以上700nm以下の光を発する赤色蛍光体とをさらに含むことにより、白色光を発することを特徴とする、前記(1)項に記載の照明器具。
(17)該発光光源が330〜420nmの波長の光を発するLEDであり、前記蛍光体は、330〜420nmの励起光により550nm以上600nm以下の波長の光を発する黄色蛍光体をさらに含むことにより、白色光を発することを特徴とする、前記(1)項に記載の照明器具。
(18)該黄色蛍光体がEuを固溶させたCa−αサイアロンであることを特徴とする、前記(17)項に記載の照明器具。
(19)励起源と蛍光体から構成される画像表示装置において、前記蛍光体は、JEM相を母体結晶とし、前記JEM相は発光中心元素M1(ただし、M1は、Ce、EuおよびTbからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素である)を含有してなり、MAl(Si6−zAlz)N10−zOz(ただし、Mは前記M1を含む金属元素から選ばれる元素、0.1≦z≦3)で示される酸窒化物蛍光体を含むことを特徴とする、画像表示装置。
(20)前記画像表示装置が、蛍光表示管(VFD)、フィールドエミッションディスプレイ(FED)、プラズマディスプレイパネル(PDP)、陰極線管(CRT)のいずれかであることを特徴とする、前記(19)に記載の画像表示装置。

MAl(Si6−zAlz)N10−zOz
からのずれを表している。式中、a値は金属元素M(ただし、MはLa、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Luから選ばれる1種または2種以上の元素)の含有量であり、蛍光体中に含まれるこれらの元素の総量である。本発明ではa値は1とする。
(1)MがCeである組成、
(2)MがLaとCeの2元素を少なくとも含有する組成であり、中でもLaとCeの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦ Ce/La ≦10 である組成、
(3)MがLaとEuの2元素を少なくとも含有する組成であり、中でもLaとEuの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.001≦ Eu/La ≦1 である組成、
(4)MがLaとTbの2元素を少なくとも含有する組成であり、中でもLaとTbの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦ Tb/La ≦10である組成、
(5)MがLa、Ce、Tbの3元素を少なくとも含有する組成、
であり、その中でもLa、Ce、Tbの3元素を少なくとも含有し、La、Ce,Tbの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦ (Ce+Tb)/La ≦10である組成の何れかの組成を選択することによって一層発光強度の高い蛍光体とすることができる。
表3、表4、表5に示す組成の他は実施例1と同様の手法で酸窒化物粉末を作成したところ、表6の実施例2〜12に示すように紫外線で励起される輝度が高い蛍光体が得られた。
表3に示す組成のほかは実施例1と同様の手法で酸窒化物粉末を作成した。JEM含有率の高いものが得られたが、比較例13に例示するように輝度が高い蛍光体は得られなかった。
原料粉末は、窒化ケイ素粉末(平均粒径0.5μm、酸素含有量0.93重量%、α型含有量92%)、窒化アルミニウム粉末(比表面積3.3m2/g、酸素含有量0.79%)、酸化ランタン粉末(純度99.9%)、酸化ユーロピウム粉末(純度99.9%)、酸化アルミニウム粉末(純度99.9%)、さらに、金属ランタン(純度99.9%)をアンモニア中で窒化して合成した窒化ランタン粉末、金属セリウムをアンモニア中で窒化して合成した窒化セリウム粉末、及び金属ユーロピウムをアンモニア中で窒化して合成した窒化ユーロピウム粉末、以上の粉末を用いた。

Claims (20)
- 発光光源と蛍光体から構成される照明器具において、
前記蛍光体は、JEM相を母体結晶とし、前記JEM相は発光中心元素M1(ただし、M1は、Ce、EuおよびTbからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素である)を含有してなり、MAl(Si6−zAlz)N10−zOz(ただし、Mは前記M1を含む金属元素から選ばれる元素、0.1≦z≦3)で示される酸窒化物蛍光体を含むことを特徴とする、照明器具。 - 前記金属元素Mは、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Luから選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の照明器具。
- 前記金属元素Mは、少なくとも前記M1およびLaであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の照明器具。
- 前記M1は、Ceであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の照明器具。
- 蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が420nm以上500nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が250nm以上400nm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の照明器具。
- 前記M1は、Euであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の照明器具。
- 蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が510nm以上550nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が300nm以上480nm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の照明器具。
- 前記M1は、Tbであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の照明器具。
- 蛍光スペクトルにおいて最大発光波長が480nm以上560nm以下であり、励起スペクトルにおいて最大励起波長が200nm以上300nm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の照明器具。
- 前記酸窒化物蛍光体は、M、Si、Al、O、Nの元素(ただし、Mは、前記M1を含む金属元素から選ばれる元素であり、かつ、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Luから選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素)を含有し、組成式MaSibAlcOdNe(式中、a=1とする)で示され、

- 前記M1はEuであり、かつ、前記MとしてLaとEuとを少なくとも含有し、LaとEuとの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.001≦Eu/La≦1であることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の照明器具。
- 前記M1はTbであり、かつ、前記MとしてLaとTbとを少なくとも含有し、LaとTbとの含有比(組成中の原子の数の比)が0.01≦Tb/La≦10であることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の照明器具。
- 該発光光源が330〜420nmの波長の光を発するLEDであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の照明器具。
- 該発光光源が330〜420nmの波長の光を発するLEDであり、前記蛍光体は、330〜420nmの励起光により520nm以上570nm以下の波長の光を発する緑色蛍光体と、330〜420nmの励起光により570nm以上700nm以下の光を発する赤色蛍光体とをさらに含むことにより、白色光を発することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の照明器具。
