Abstract
Description
本発明の反射防止膜の基板10としては、透明性のあるものであれば特に制限されないが、加工性の面ではプラスチックフィルムを使用することが好ましい。一般的に基板として使用される材料の例としては、アセチルセルロース、ジアセチルセルロース、プロピオニルセルロース、アセチルプロピオニルセルロース、またはニトロセルロースなどのセルロースエステル;ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、ポリ−1,4−シクロヘキサンジメチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレン−1,2−ジフェノキシエタン−4,4’−ジカルボキシレート、またはシクロヘキサンジメチレンテレフタレートなどのポリエステル;ポリエチレン、またはポリプロピレン、ポリメチルペンタンなどのポリオレフィンなどが挙げられ、これら以外にもポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリスチレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリアミド、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリスルホン、ポリイミド、およびナイロンなどが挙げられる。中でも、アセチルセルロース、ポリエチレンテレフタレートまたはポリカーボネートが透明性に優れているため、光学フィルムの基板として特に好ましい。また、アルカリ物質により鹸化処理されたアセチルセルロースを使用することもできる。
本発明の反射防止膜は、膜の硬度を高めるために、高屈折率層の下にハードコート層20を含む。このハードコート層は、基板を保護し、膜の硬度を高める働きをする。前記ハードコート層は、UV硬化性樹脂、光重合開始剤および溶媒、そして必要に応じて無機粒子を含むコーティング組成物を用いて調製されうる。
本発明の反射防止膜に使用される高屈折率層30は、屈折率の高い金属酸化物粒子、UV硬化性官能基を2以上有する樹脂、光重合開始剤および溶媒を含むコーティング組成物を用いて調製することができる。
本発明の反射防止膜に使用される低屈折率層40は、化学式1で表されるフッ素化合物、反応性ケイ素化合物、(メタ)アクリレート化合物、重合開始剤および溶媒を含むコーティング組成物を用いて調製される。さらに、コーティング膜の耐スクラッチ性および防汚性の向上のために、必要に応じてフッ素含有シランカップリング剤によって修飾されたコロイダルシリカをさらに含むことができる。
化学式1のフッ素化合物として、化学式2の(a)で表されるRfを有する化合物と化学式2の(e)で表されるRfを有する化合物とを使用し(製造例1〜6)、化学式1のフッ素化合物および化学式3のフッ素化合物を使用した(製造例7〜18)。下記表1に示すように、反応性ケイ素化合物と(メタ)アクリレート化合物として、ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(Ebecryl 5129、SK−UCB社製)とを使用した。各成分をメチルエチルケトン溶媒に溶解して混合し、その後メチルエチルケトンとメチルイソブチルケトンとの混合溶媒を用いて組成物の固形分が5重量部になるように調製した。光重合開始剤であるIrgacure 127(Ciba−geigy社製)を組成物の固形分の総重量に対して5重量部添加し、次いで各成分が完全に溶解されるように撹拌工程を行った。
1)基板
基板として、100μmの厚さのPETフィルム(A4300、東洋紡社製)を使用した。
ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(Ebecryl 5129、SK−UCB社製)30重量部およびジペンタエリトリトールアクリレート(A−400、日本化薬社製)20重量部を、溶媒であるメチルエチルケトンおよびトルエン(それぞれ25重量部)と混合した。重合開始剤であるIrgacure 184(Ciba−geigy社製)を、組成物の固形分の総重量に対して1重量部添加した。
25nmの平均粒径を有する酸化スズ粒子がUV硬化性樹脂、エタノールおよびイソプロパノールに分散されている酸化スズ分散液(触媒化成工業社製)をイソプロパノールを用いて8重量%に希釈した。
表1の製造例1〜12で調製された低屈折率層形成用コーティング溶液をそれぞれバーコーター#4barを用いて塗布し、コーティング膜を形成した後、これを80℃で2分間乾燥させて溶媒を蒸発させることによりコーティング膜を形成した。
表1の製造例13〜18のコーティング組成物をそれぞれ用いて低屈折率層を形成したことを除いては、実施例1〜12と同様の方法で実施した。形成されたコーティング膜の物性の測定結果を下記表2に示す。
外観:反射防止膜の外観を肉眼で観察した。コーティング膜に外観の不良が観測されなかった場合は○と表記し、表面にバーによる引っかき傷がかすかに残っていた場合は△と表記し、表面にバーによる引っかき傷がはっきりと残っていたり膜の表面が不透明である場合は×と表記した。
Claims (16)
- 前記組成物の固形分100重量部に対して、
(a)化学式1で表されるフッ素化合物70〜95重量部;
(b)反応性ケイ素化合物0.1〜15重量部;
(c)(メタ)アクリレート化合物1〜20重量部;および
(d)重合開始剤0.1〜10重量部;
を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - 前記反応性ケイ素化合物の使用量は、前記組成物の固形分100重量部に対して0.2〜10重量部である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記互いに異なる2種以上のフッ素化合物の使用量は、それぞれ、フッ素化合物の総量100重量部に対して10重量部以上である、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の固形分100重量部に対して、
(a)前記化学式1で表されるフッ素化合物50〜80重量部;および
(b)前記化学式3で表されるフッ素化合物5〜40重量部;
を含む、請求項4に記載の組成物。 - 前記組成物中の(a)、(b)、(c)および(d)を含む固形分含量は、低屈折率層形成用コーティング溶液の総量に対して1〜20重量部である、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- 前記化学式1で表されるフッ素化合物と(メタ)アクリレート化合物との合計100重量部に対して、(メタ)アクリレート樹脂が、3〜10重量部使用される、請求項4に記載の組成物。
- 前記ケイ素化合物は、下記化学式5または化学式6で表される、請求項1に記載の組成物:
- フッ素含有シランカップリング剤によって修飾されたコロイダルシリカをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (i)基板;
(ii)ハードコート層;
(iii)高屈折率層;および
(iv)低屈折率層;
を含み、前記低屈折率層が、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の組成物を用いて形成される、反射防止膜。 - 380〜780nmの可視光領域で3%未満の平均反射率を有する、請求項13に記載の反射防止膜。
- 550〜650nmの光波長範囲で1%未満の最小反射率を有する、請求項13に記載の反射防止膜。
- 請求項13に記載の反射防止膜を含む画像表示装置。
