Abstract
【解決手段】トレッド踏面1に複数の溝部2と、その溝部2によって区分された複数の陸部4と、が形成された空気入りタイヤにおいて、少なくとも1本の溝部2の少なくとも一方の溝壁面は、トレッド踏面1側に位置する踏面側部5と、踏面側部5の溝底側に位置する溝底側部6とを備えるものとする。踏面側部5は、隣接する陸部4の踏面とのなす角度が直角または鈍角である平坦面5aと、平坦面5aの溝底側端から溝幅方向外側に延びる底面5bとを有するものとする。溝底側部6は、溝底から始端して底面5bの溝幅方向外側に向かって、溝幅を大きくしながら延びる傾斜面6aを有し、傾斜面6aと底面5bとの間で溝幅方向外側に窪んだ凹部6bを形成する。

Description
(1)前述の実施形態では、全ての主溝2の両方の溝壁面に、踏面側部5と溝底側部6とを備える例を示したが、本発明においては、例えば主溝2の中でも、タイヤ走行時にリブ4の溝底部分に歪が集中し易い主溝2のみに、踏面側部5と溝底側部6とを備えるものであってもよい。さらに、主溝2の一方の溝壁面のみに踏面側部と溝底側部とを備えるものであってもよい。
テストタイヤ(タイヤサイズ:195/65R15)を使用し、ドラム走行試験にて測定した転がり抵抗を指数評価した。比較例1の転がり抵抗の逆数を100として指数化し、指数が大きいほど転がり抵抗が低減されていることを示す。尚、走行条件は、ドラム径=1.7m、キャンバー角=0°、空気圧=210kPa、速度=80km/h、荷重=4300Nとした。
図1に示すトレッド踏面1に、4本の主溝2と複数の横溝3とが形成され、この全ての主溝2の両方の溝壁面に、図2に示す踏面側部5と溝底側部6と備える空気入りタイヤであって、隣接するリブ4の踏面と平坦面5aとのなす角度αを90°、主溝2の溝深さDが8mm、主溝2のトレッド踏面Pにおける溝幅Wが10mm、主溝2の溝深さDと、トレッド踏面Pから平坦面部5の溝底側底面5bまでの距離D1と、の比がD1=0.5D(D1が4mm)、主溝2のトレッド踏面Pにおける溝幅Wと、トレッド踏面Pと平坦面5aとの稜線から、凹部6までの窪み量dWと、の比がdW=0.1W、溝底でのテーパ角度βを40°に設定した空気入りタイヤを製造した。かかるタイヤを用いて、転がり抵抗の測定を行った結果を表1に示す。
図1に示すトレッド踏面1に、4本の主溝2と複数の横溝3とが形成された空気入りタイヤであって、この主溝2を図3(a)に示す断面形状がU字型である主溝とし、その溝深さおよび溝幅を実施例1と同等に設定することにより、溝面積およびボイド比(溝体積比)を実施例1と同等に設定した空気入りタイヤを製造した。かかるタイヤを用いて、転がり抵抗の測定を行った結果を表1に示す。

Claims (4)
- トレッド踏面に複数の溝部と、その溝部によって区分された複数の陸部と、が形成された空気入りタイヤにおいて、
少なくとも1本の前記溝部の少なくとも一方の溝壁面は、トレッド踏面側に位置する踏面側部と、前記踏面側部の溝底側に位置する溝底側部とを備え、
前記踏面側部は、隣接する前記陸部の踏面とのなす角度が直角または鈍角である平坦面と、前記平坦面の溝底側端から溝幅方向外側に延びる底面とを有し、
前記溝底側部は、溝底から始端して前記底面の溝幅方向外側に向かって、溝幅を大きくしながら延びる傾斜面を有し、前記傾斜面と前記底面との間で溝幅方向外側に窪んだ凹部を形成していることを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。 - 前記溝部の溝深さをD、前記トレッド踏面から前記底面までの距離をD1としたとき、D1=0.4D〜0.7Dである請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記傾斜面は、前記トレッド踏面と前記平坦面との稜線よりも溝中心側であって、かつ溝中心を超えない溝底位置から始端するものである請求項1または2に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記底面と前記凹部との境界部分が、断面円弧状に形成されたものである請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
