Abstract
【解決手段】車載用電池装置100は、複数個の電池モジュール5からなる電池スタック1と、電池モジュール5の長手方向の側面に直交する電池スタックの一側面50に隣接し、当該一側面50の長手方向幅にわたる吹出口37を有する送風部材30と、複数個の電池モジュール5に電気的に接続されて通電を制御するために用いられるリレー装置63,68と、を備える。送風部材30は、当該一側面50に略平行な方向に空気を吸い込む吸込口38,39から吹出口37に向けて末広がりとなる流路35を有するケーシング33を備える。リレー装置63,68は、ケーシング33の側方であって、当該一側面50の長手方向端部50a,50bよりも内側を占める空間に配置される。

Description
送風部材は、電池スタックの一側面(50)に略平行な方向に空気を吸い込む吸込口(38,39)が形成され、この吸込口から吹出口(37)に向けて末広がりとなる流路(35)を内部に形成するケーシング(33)を有しており、
制御部品は、ケーシングの側方であって、電池スタックの一側面(50)の長手方向端部(50a,50b)よりも内側を占める空間に配置されていることを特徴とする。
リレー装置(63,68)は、電池スタックの一側面(50)側に設けられる正極端子(66)および負極端子(62)の近傍であって、電池スタックの一側面(50)の長手方向端部(50a,50b)側にケーシングを投影して形成される空間に、リレー装置の体積の半分以上を含み、さらに吸込口(38)から所定の間隔をあけて配置されていることを特徴とする。
本発明に係る車載用電池装置は、内燃機関と電池駆動モータとを組み合わせて走行駆動源とする周知のハイブリッド自動車に用いられ、走行用モータの駆動電源等となる電池を冷却するものである。電池は、例えばニッケル水素二次電池、リチウムイオン二次電池、有機ラジカル電池であり、筐体内に収納された状態で自動車の座席下、後部座席とトランクルームとの間の空間、運転席と助手席の間の空間などに配置される。
上述の実施形態では、本発明の好ましい実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上述した実施形態に何ら制限されることなく、本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々変形して実施することが可能である。

Claims (6)
- 通電可能に直列接続された複数個の電池モジュール(5)をその長手方向(Y)の側面を対向させるように並べて配置し一体にしてなる電池スタック(1)と、
前記電池モジュールの長手方向(Y)の側面に略直交する前記電池スタック(1)の一側面(50)に隣接して設けられ、前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)の長手方向(X)幅にわたる吹出口(37)を有し、前記電池スタックに対して冷却風を提供する送風部材(30)と、
前記複数個の電池モジュールに電気的に接続され、前記電池スタックからの電力供給を制御するために用いられる制御部品(24,63,67,68)と、
を備え、
前記送風部材は、前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)に略平行な方向に空気を吸い込む吸込口(38,39)が形成され、前記吸込口から前記吹出口(37)に向けて末広がりとなる流路(35)を内部に形成するケーシング(33)を有しており、
前記制御部品は、前記ケーシングの側方であって、前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)の長手方向端部(50a,50b)よりも内側を占める空間に配置されていることを特徴とする車載用電池装置。 - 前記制御部品は、前記電池スタックの正極端子(66)および負極端子(62)の少なくとも一方に接続され、前記電池スタックからの電力の供給および遮断を行うリレー装置(63,68)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車載用電池装置。
- 前記送風部材は前記ケーシング内に遠心ファン(34)を有し、前記遠心ファンの回転軸(32)は前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)に対して略平行となるように配されており、
前記リレー装置(63,68)は、前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)側に設けられる前記正極端子(66)および前記負極端子(62)の近傍であって、前記電池スタックの前記一側面(50)の長手方向端部(50a,50b)側に前記ケーシングを投影して形成される空間に、前記リレー装置(63,68)の体積の半分以上を含み、さらに前記吸込口(38)から所定の間隔をあけて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車載用電池装置。 - 前記制御部品は、前記電池スタックの少なくとも電圧状態、温度状態を監視するとともに、前記送風部材の作動を制御する制御回路ユニット(24)であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の車載用電池装置。
- 前記制御部品は、さらに前記送風部材よりも下方に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の車載用電池装置。
- さらに、前記送風部材が提供する前記冷却風の通路にヒータ部材(60)を備え、
前記制御部品は、前記ヒータ部材に供給する電力を制御するヒータ制御回路(61)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の車載用電池装置。
