Abstract
【解決手段】内輪11、外輪12及びこれらの間に介装された複数の転動体13を備え、内輪11と外輪12との間に形成された環状開口部に、スリンガー、芯金及びこれらの間に設けられた非導電性シールによって形成されたシール部20a,20bがそれぞれ取付けられてハブシャフト2に装着された軸受部10を有し、シール部20bに、外輪12と内輪11とを導電状態とする通電体24を設けた。

Description
ところで、車軸用軸受装置の軸受部は高温になり易く、特に、スリンガーと芯金とに囲まれた領域内に位置するゴム材からなる導電性のシール環又はリング状弾性シール(以下、これらを総称してパックシールという)は熱に弱く、このため、例えば150℃を超えるとシール機能が低下するという問題があった。
あるいは、ほぼ円環状に形成されて内径側が前記シール部のスリンガーに取付けられ、外径側が前記シール部の芯金又は外輪に当接するように形成されたものである。
図1は本発明の実施の形態1に係る車軸用軸受装置の要部の縦断面図、図2は図1のシール部の拡大図で、本実施の形態は、内輪回転型の軸受部を備えたものである。なお、以下の説明では、図の左側をインナ側、右側をアウタ側という。
この通電体24は、例えば図3に示すように、一方の側に設けられて芯金22の円筒部22bに嵌合して固定される嵌合溝26を有する取付部25と、他方の側に設けられたリップ部27とからなり、リップ部27は例えば櫛歯状に複数に分割されている。
先ず、内輪11、外輪12、円錐ころ13等からなる軸受部10の組立体の、内輪11と外輪12との間の両側に形成された環状開口部のアウタ側に、図2に示すように、通電体24を有するシール部20aを圧入し、また、インナ側の環状開口部に、通電体24の無いシール部20bを圧入して、軸受部10を組立てる。
一方、軸受部10の外輪12、シール部20a,20bの芯金22及びこれに取付けたフッ素シール23は回転せず、フッ素シール23のリップは回転するスリンガー21に摺接して、環状開口部をシールする。
これにより、外輪12と内輪11とは、芯金22、通電体24、ハブシャフト2を介して通電性が確保されて、両者は同電位に保持されるため外輪12に静電気が帯電することがなく、したがって、スパークを生じることもない。なお、自動車等の走行によって飛散した泥水は、シール部20a,20bによって軸受部10内への浸入が防止される。
図5(a)は、軸受部10のシール部20aの内輪11に固定されたスリンガー21の外周端部に、導電性合成ゴムからなる環状でラッパ状の通電体24の内径側を取付けて、その外周に設けたリップ部27を、外輪12に固定された芯金22の円筒部22bの内周面に当接させたものである。なお、この場合、芯金22は通電性を有する鋼板等の金属材で形成することが必要である。
さらに、図6は導電性合成ゴムからなり芯金22の円筒部22bの内径より大径の環状の通電体24の内径側を、スリンガー21の外周端部に取付けて、そのリップ部27をほぼC字状に折曲げて芯金22の円筒部22bの内周面に当接させ、リップ部27のインナ側と芯金22の円筒部22bの内周面との間にグリース28を充填したものである。
なお、図5及び図6の通電体24のリップ部27は全周を芯金22や外輪12に当接させる必要はなく、例えば、図3で説明したように、櫛歯状などに形成して断続的に当接させてもよく、少なくとも一部が当接して通電できればよい。
上記の図5(a),(b)の説明では、アウタ側のシール部20aに通電体24を設けた場合を示したが、インナ側のシール部20bに通電体24を設けてもよい。
図7は本発明の実施の形態2に係る車軸用軸受装置の要部の断面図、図8は図7の通電部材の断面図である。なお、図7はハブシャフト2の貫通穴6にドライブシャフト35を嵌入して固定した状態を示すもので、以下の説明では、図の右側をインナ側、左側をアウタ側といい、実施の形態1と同じ部分にはこれと同じ符号を付し説明を省略する。
そして、車軸用軸受装置1のハブシャフト2の貫通穴6をドライブシャフト35に嵌入して固定する。これにより、ドライブシャフト35の段部36がハブシャフト2のかしめ部7に当接し、また、通電部材30の通電体24のリップ部27が軸受部10の外輪12のインナ側端面に圧接される。
本実施の形態においても、実施の形態1の場合とほぼ同様の効果を得ることができる。
Claims (4)
- 内輪、外輪及びこれらの間に介装された複数の転動体を備え、前記内輪と外輪との間に形成された環状開口部に、スリンガー、芯金及びこれらの間に設けられた非導電性シールによって形成されたシール部がそれぞれ取付けられてハブシャフトに装着された軸受部を有し、
前記シール部に、前記外輪と内輪とを導電状態とする通電体を設けたことを特徴とする車軸用軸受装置。 - 前記通電体は、ほぼ円筒状に形成されて一方の側が前記シール部の芯金に取付けられ、他方の側が前記ハブシャフトに当接することを特徴とする請求項1記載の車軸用軸受装置。
- 前記通電体は、ほぼ円環状に形成されて内径側が前記シール部のスリンガーに取付けられ、外径側が前記シール部の芯金又は外輪に当接することを特徴とする請求項1記載の車軸用軸受装置。
- 内輪、外輪及びこれらの間に介装された複数の転動体を備え、前記内輪と外輪との間に形成された環状開口部に、スリンガー、芯金及びこれらの間に設けた非導電性シールによって形成されたシール部がそれぞれ取付けられてハブシャフトに装着された軸受部を有し、
前記ハブシャフトが取付けられるドライブシャフトに環状の通電部材を装着し、前記通電体を前記軸受部の外輪に当接したことを特徴とする車軸用軸受装置。
