Description

Claims (20)
- アクティブマトリックス電子発光ディスプレイの消費電力を減らす方法であって、
前記ディスプレイへの電力供給電圧を制御する工程、および
前記ディスプレイへの電力供給電流を監視する工程を含み、かつ前記制御する工程は、さらに、前記電力供給電流が閾値より大きく減少するまで前記電力供給電圧を次第に減少させる工程を含む方法。 - 前記アクティブマトリックスディスプレイは、それぞれ駆動トランジスタを有する複数の画素を含み、前記監視および制御工程は、前記電力供給電流を少なくとも一定期間監視する工程および前記アクティブマトリックスディスプレイを前記駆動トランジスタの最大駆動がちょうど飽和内にある作動領域に維持するように前記供給電圧を制御する工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アクティブマトリックスディスプレイがマルチカラーディスプレイであり、前記ディスプレイの各画素は、少なくとも2つの第1および第2の異なる色のサブ画素を有し、前記第1および第2のサブ画素はそれぞれ異なる電力供給ラインを有し、かつ前記方法はそれぞれの前記サブ画素の電力供給ラインの独立した前記制御および監視工程を含む請求項1または2に記載の方法。

- アクティブマトリックス電子発光ディスプレイを駆動するためのアクティブなトリックスディスプレイドライバーであって、
前記ディスプレイへの電力供給電圧を制御する手段、および
前記ディスプレイへの電力供給電流を監視する手段を含み、かつ前記制御する手段は、さらに、前記電力供給電流が閾値より大きく減少するまで前記電力供給電圧を次第に減少させる手段を含むドライバー。 - アクティブマトリックス電子発光ディスプレイドライバーのコントローラーであって、前記ディスプレイは電子発光ディスプレイ素子および連結される駆動トランジスタを有する複数の画素を有し、前記ディスプレイは前記画素の前記駆動トランジスタに電力を供給するための電力供給ラインを有し、前記ドライバーは、表示のためのデータによって前記画素を駆動するための画素データドライバー、前記電力供給ラインに電力供給を提供する制御可能な電圧電力供給、および前記電力供給ラインの電流を感知する電流センサーを含み、前記コントローラーは
前記電流センサーのための電流感知入力、
前記制御可能な電力供給のための電圧制御出力、および
前記電流感知入力からの電流感知信号に応答する前記電圧制御出力のための電圧制御信号を提供する電圧コントローラーを含むコントローラー。 - 前記電圧コントローラーは感知した電流を閾値まで徐々に減らすために前記制御信号を調整するように設定されている請求項9に記載のコントローラー。
- 前記コントローラーは、前記閾値の近傍に前記感知した電流を維持するために前記制御信号を調整するようにさらに設定されている請求項10に記載のコントローラー。
- 前記閾値は前記駆動トランジスタの最大駆動トランジスタがちょうど飽和内にある点である請求項11に記載のコントローラー。
- 前記ドライバーは前記電力供給ラインの電圧を感知する電圧センサーを含み、前記コントローラーは前記電圧センサーのための電圧感知入力をさらに含み、および前記電圧制御出力は前記電圧感知入力の感知された電圧に応答する請求項9〜12のいずれかに記載のコントローラー。

- 前記電圧制御信号に応じて前記画素駆動データを調整するようにさらに設定されている請求項9〜14のいずれかに記載のコントローラー。
- 請求項9〜15のいずれかに記載のコントローラー、前記画素データドライバー、および前記制御可能な電圧電力供給および前記電流センサーを含むアクティブマトリックス電子発光装置。
- 前記アクティブマトリックス電子発光ディスプレイはOLEDディスプレイを含む請求項1ないし17のいずれかに記載の方法、キャリア、コントローラーまたはディスプレイドライバー。
- それぞれOLEDディスプレイ素子および連結された駆動トランジスタを有する複数の画素を有するアクティブマトリックスOLEDディスプレイであって、前記ディスプレイは、前記駆動トランジスタに電力を供給する独立した電力供給ラインを有する少なくとも2つの部分を有するディスプレイ。
- 各前記画素は異なる色の少なくとも第1および第2のサブ画素を含み、前記2つの部分は前記第1および第2のサブ画素をそれぞれ含む請求項18に記載のアクティブマトリックスOLEDディスプレイ。
