Claims (15)
- 走査信号が供給される走査線と、
制御信号が供給される制御線と、
前記走査線及び前記制御線と交差し、データ信号が供給されるデータ線と、
前記走査線、前記制御線、及び前記データ線に接続され、映像を表示するための画素と、
前記画素に接続される電源線と、
前記映像に対応する前記データ信号を前記データ線に供給するためのデータ駆動部と、
第1レベルと第2レベルとの間でスイングする電圧を前記電源線に供給するための電源線駆動部と、
第1電流を前記画素からシンクする電流シンク部及び第2電流を前記画素に供給するための電流ソース部を備えるセンシング部と、
前記画素を、前記データ駆動部、前記電流シンク部、または電流ソース部に選択的に接続させるためのスイッチング部と、を備えることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記画素は、
カソード電極が基底電源に接続される有機発光ダイオードと、
前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極と前記電源線との間に接続される駆動トランジスタと、
前記データ線と前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極との間に接続され、ゲート電極が前記走査線に接続される第1トランジスタと、
前記電源線と前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極との間に接続され、前記データ信号に対応する電圧を充電するためのストレージキャパシタと、
前記データ線と前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極との間に接続され、ゲート電極が前記制御線に接続される第3トランジスタと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記スイッチング部は、
前記データ線と前記データ駆動部との間に接続され、前記データ線に前記データ信号が供給されるときにターンオンされる第1スイッチング素子と、
前記データ線と前記電流ソース部との間に接続され、前記第2電流が前記データ線に供給されるときにターンオンされる第2スイッチング素子と、
前記データ線と前記電流シンク部との間に接続され、前記データ線から前記第1電流をシンクするときにターンオンされる第3スイッチング素子と、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記電流シンク部は、前記第1電流に対応する第1電圧を感知し、前記電流ソース部は、前記第2電流に対応する第2電圧を感知することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1電圧及び第2電圧に対応する値を格納するためのメモリをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1電圧及び第2電圧に対応する前記データ信号を生成できるように、外部から入力されるデータのビットを変更するタイミング制御部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1電圧には、前記駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧及び移動度情報が含まれることを特徴とする請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電圧には、前記有機発光ダイオードの劣化情報が含まれることを特徴とする請求項4〜7のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記センシング部は、前記第1電圧及び第2電圧が格納される前に、前記第1電圧及び第2電圧をデジタルデータに変更するための1つ以上のアナログ−デジタル変換部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4〜8のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記電源線の電圧レベルは、前記データ線に前記第2電流が流れるときと比べて、前記第1電流が流れるときに、より高い電圧に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 駆動トランジスタ及び有機発光ダイオードを備える画素と、前記画素に接続されるデータ線とを備える有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記画素に備えられる前記駆動トランジスタ及び前記データ線を経由して第1電流をシンクしつつ第1電圧を感知する期間において、第1電源を画素に供給するステップと、
前記データ線及び前記画素に備えられる前記有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電流を供給しつつ第2電圧を感知する期間において、前記第1電源よりも低い第2電源を前記画素に供給するステップと、
前記第1電圧及び第2電圧に対応して、外部から入力されるデータを変更してデータ信号を生成するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1電圧及び第2電圧は、デジタルデータに変更されてメモリに格納されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記有機電界発光表示装置は、
前記データ線に接続されるスイッチング部をさらに備え、
前記スイッチング部は、前記データ線を、前記第1電流をシンクするための電流シンク部、前記第2電流を供給するための電流ソース部、または前記データ信号を供給するためのデータ駆動部の1つに選択的に接続させることを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - データ線に接続され、駆動トランジスタ及び有機発光ダイオードを備える画素と、
前記駆動トランジスタ及び前記データ線を経由して第1電流をシンクしつつ第1電圧を感知する電流シンク部と、
前記データ線及び前記有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電流を供給しつつ第2電圧を感知する電流ソース部と、
前記第1電圧及び第2電圧に対応して、外部から入力されるデータのビットを変更するタイミング制御部と、
前記画素に電源を供給するための電源線駆動部と、を備え、
前記電源線駆動部から供給される電源は、前記第2電圧を感知する期間に比べて、前記第1電圧を感知する期間に、より高い電圧レベルに設定されることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記ビットが変更されたデータを用いてデータ信号を生成し、生成されたデータ信号を前記データ線に供給するためのデータ駆動部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
