Abstract
【解決手段】絶縁膜上に島状に形成されている複数のアノード電極と、該複数のアノード電極の周囲に形成されている複数のPDL層と、該PDL層から一定の距離をおいて離隔するように形成されかつ透明基板の最上層の絶縁膜上に形成された衝撃緩和層と、該衝撃緩和層上に形成されるスペーサとを含む第1基板と、該第1基板に対向し、前記スペーサにより、前記第1基板と所定の間隔をおいて形成される第2基板とを備える有機電界発光表示装置及びその製造方法を提供する。

Description
従来技術では、スペーサをPDL層上に設けざるを得なかったのに対して、本発明は、衝撃緩和層をPDL層から離隔するように形成し、この衝撃緩和層上にスペーサを形成する、すなわちスペーサをPDL層から離隔し、かつ、衝撃緩和層を介して絶縁膜上に設けたことにより、従来技術の問題点を解決したものである。

Claims (5)
- 絶縁膜上に島状に形成されている複数のアノード電極と、該複数のアノード電極の周囲に形成されている複数のPDL層と、該PDL層から一定の距離をおいて離隔するように形成されかつ透明基板の最上層の絶縁膜上に形成された衝撃緩和層と、該衝撃緩和層上に形成されるスペーサとを含む第1基板と、
該第1基板に対向し、前記スペーサにより、前記第1基板と所定の間隔をおいて形成される第2基板と
を備えることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間の空間に不活性気体が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間の空間に有機物が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記PDL層及び前記衝撃緩和層は、同じ物質からなり、同じ工程によって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- ガラス上に薄膜トランジスタを形成するステップと、
前記薄膜トランジスタ上に絶縁膜を形成するステップと、
前記絶縁膜上に前記薄膜トランジスタと電気的に接続される複数のアノード電極を形成するステップと、
前記アノード電極上に絶縁膜を形成した後、当該絶縁膜をパターニングし、前記アノード電極の周辺に位置する複数のPDL層と、当該PDL層から所定の間隔をおいて離隔する衝撃緩和層とを形成するステップと、
前記衝撃緩和層上にスペーサを形成するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の製造方法。
