Abstract
【解決手段】組電池は、4個の単電池が直列接続されている。単電池は、極性が交互となるように並置されている。隣り合う単電池同士は、接続部材40で接続されている。接続部材40は、2枚の金属板40a、40bが重ねて積層された積層金属板で構成されている。金属板40a、40bには、溶接で二元系合金を形成する銅とニッケルとがそれぞれ使用されている。銅の体積抵抗率がニッケルの約1/4であるため、金属板40a、40bのそれぞれに使用された金属の体積抵抗率の比率が1/2以下となる。接続部材40の両端部は、隣り合う単電池のうち一方の正極外部端子と他方の負極外部端子とにそれぞれ抵抗溶接で接合されている。抵抗溶接で金属板40a、40bに使用した銅とニッケルとが合金化する。

Description
本実施形態の組電池30は、4個の扁平円筒型リチウム二次電池(以下、単電池という。)20で構成されている。図1に示すように、隣り合う2個の単電池20は、極性が交互となるように扁平円形状断面の長軸方向に沿う側面を対向させて並置されている。隣り合う単電池20同士は、接続部材40を介して接続されている。すなわち、組電池30を構成する4個の単電池20は、3個の接続部材40を介して直列接続されている。なお、図1では、隣り合う2個の単電池20のみを示し、残りの2個を捨象して示している。
次に、本実施形態の組電池30の作用等について、接続部材40を中心に説明する。
実施例1では、金属板40aを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.3mmの銅製とし、金属板40bを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.2mmのニッケル製とした積層金属板を接続部材40に使用して組電池30を作製した(図1参照)。
実施例2では、金属板40aを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.4mmの銅製とし、金属板40bを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケル製とした以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池30を作製した。
実施例3では、金属板40aを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.3mmのアルミニウム製とし、金属板40bを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.2mmのニッケル製とした以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池30を作製した。
実施例4では、金属板40aを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.4mmのアルミニウム製とし、金属板40bを長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケル製とした以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池30を作製した。
実施例5では、長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケル製金属板2枚と、長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.3mmの銅製金属板1枚とを、ニッケル製金属板と銅製金属板とが交互に重なるように3枚の金属板を積層した積層金属板を接続部材40に使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池30を作製した。
実施例6では、長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケル製金属板2枚と、長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.3mmのアルミニウム製金属板1枚とを、ニッケル製金属板とアルミニウム製金属板とが交互に重なるように3枚の金属板を積層した積層金属板を接続部材40に使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池30を作製した。
比較例1では、長さ60mm、幅20mm、厚さ0.5mmのニッケル製金属板1枚を接続部材に使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして組電池を作製した。
作製した各実施例及び比較例の組電池について、接続部材40、組電池30の質量と直流抵抗とをそれぞれ測定した。直流抵抗は以下のように測定した。組電池30を定格容量の半分(8Ah)まで充電後、組電池30の正極端子(組電池30内で最も高電圧となる単電池20の正極外部端子)および負極端子(組電池30内で最も低電圧となる単電池20の負極外部端子)に電子負荷装置を具備した外部回路を接続し、10A、30A、50Aの各電流値で10秒間定電流放電した。その際、各電流値による10秒目の組電池電圧を測定し、組電池30の10秒目電圧と各放電電流との関係をグラフにプロットし、各10秒目電圧から求めた近似直線の傾きを組電池30の直流抵抗として算出した。

Claims (7)
- 複数の単電池が接続部材を介して電気的に接続された組電池において、前記接続部材は、2種以上の金属板が重ねて積層された積層金属板であり、前記単電池と接続された接続部において溶接により隣接する前記金属板同士に二元系合金が生成されたことを特徴とする組電池。
- 前記接続部材は、前記金属板にそれぞれ使用された金属のうち少なくとも2種の金属の体積抵抗率(Ω・m)の比が1/2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組電池。
- 前記単電池は、外装容器が前記金属板の1種と同種の金属でメッキされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組電池。
- 前記接続部は、抵抗溶接により外装容器と前記二元系合金とが接合されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の組電池。
- 前記金属板のうち2種の金属板は、主金属にそれぞれ銅とニッケルとが使用されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の組電池。
- 前記金属板のうち2種の金属板は、主金属にそれぞれアルミニウムとニッケルとが使用されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の組電池。
- 前記接続部材は、両端部に前記接続部を有しており、中央部が前記両端部に対して段差を有していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の組電池。
