Claims (8)
- 第一の逃げ面(6)に隣接する切り屑除去主切れ刃(3)と第二の逃げ面(7)に隣接する表面切削二次切れ刃(4)を備えた正面フライスインサートであって、前記主切れ刃(3)が前記二次切れ刃(4)の延長方向における仮想直線(L)と45゜の角度を成している正面フライスインサートにおいて、
第三の逃げ面(12)に隣接する中間切れ刃(11)が、前記主切れ刃(3)と前記二次切れ刃(4)との間に形成され、前記中間切れ刃が、主切れ刃(3)よりも短く、前記仮想直線(L)と45゜より小さな角度(α)を成し、前記中間切れ刃(11)が、凸な逃げ面(15,16)に隣接するアーチ状部分切れ刃(13,14)を経て隣接する前記切れ刃(3,4)に移行することを特徴とする正面フライスインサート。 - 前記中間切れ刃(11)の前記仮想直線に対する角度(α)が、大きくて40゜になることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記中間切れ刃(11)の前記仮想直線に対する角度(α)が、小さくても20゜になることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記中間切れ刃(11)の長さ(L11)が、前記主切れ刃(3)の長さ(L3)の高々10%であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記中間切れ刃(11)の長さ(L11)が、高々0.5mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記二次切れ刃(4)と前記中間切れ刃(11)の間の移行部分を成す第一のアーチ状部分切れ刃(13)の半径(R1)が、第二のアーチ状部分切れ刃(14)の半径(R2)よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記第一の部分切れ刃(13)の半径(R1)が、1mmより小さいことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の正面フライスインサート。
- 前記第二の部分切れ刃(14)の半径(R2)が高々2mmであることを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の正面フライスインサート。
