Abstract
Description
(水性媒体(Au、Ag、CuまたはZn電極):一酸化炭素が形成される)

a)液相にCO2を濃縮する工程と、
b)炭素がシュウ酸またはギ酸の形態で酸化数+3に変化する化合物への非プロトン媒体中での電気還元工程と、
c)適切であれば、水相にシュウ酸またはギ酸を再抽出する工程と、
d)元素Mの化合物との鉱物化反応によって、結果として、原子比C/Mが約2/1である安定な化合物にする工程と
を包含する。

遊離させられたCO2(開始時に用いられた半分)は、本発明の方法のサイクルの第1工程に再導入されてよい。

Claims (24)
- 大気に放出された炭素を閉じ込める方法であって、
a)液相にCO2を濃縮する工程と、
b)炭素がシュウ酸またはギ酸の形態で酸化数+3に変化した化合物への非プロトン性媒体中での電気還元工程と、
c)水相中にシュウ酸またはギ酸を再抽出する適宜の工程と、
d)前記化合物を、元素Mの化合物と反応させて、原子比C/Mが約2/1の鉱物を生じさせることによって鉱物化する工程と
を包含することを特徴とする方法。 - 液相濃縮工程a)はCO2を液化することからなり、液体CO2は、加圧下に、例えば、超臨界状態において得られることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 液相濃縮工程a)は、水と混和しないか、または、種々の比率で水と混和する極性非プロトン液中にCO2を吸着することからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 液相濃縮工程a)は、水と混和しないか、または、種々の比率で水と混和する非プロトン性のイオン液中にCO2を吸着することからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記イオン液は、ヘキサフルオロリン酸 1−ブチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムからなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 液相濃縮工程a)は、アルコールおよび/またはアミンを含む水相中にCO2を吸着することからなる特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 液相濃縮工程a)は、水和された形態でCO2を吸着することからなり、該濃縮は、酵素的経路によって活性化されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水和活性化酵素は、炭酸脱水酵素であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 得られる溶液は、請求項6によるアルコールおよび/またはアミンの存在下に水相吸着法に再循環させられる特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 得られた水溶液は、請求項2による液化法に再循環させられる特徴とする請求項6または9に記載の方法。
- 得られた水溶液は、液−液抽出法によって水に不溶性のイオン液媒体に移されることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の方法。
- 電気還元工程b)は、3〜10のpHで、アノードを標準水素電極に対して+0.5〜−3.5ボルトの電位に維持して行われる、請求項1〜11のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- pHは3〜7である、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 電気還元工程において用いられたアノードは、白金、またはホウ素によってドープされたダイヤモンド、または窒素によってドープされた炭素によって構成される、請求項12または13に記載の方法。
- 電気還元工程b)は、加圧下に液体CO2中で行われる、請求項1〜14のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 電気還元工程b)からの化合物は、シュウ酸またはシュウ酸塩である、請求項1〜15のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 非水性媒体中に得られたシュウ酸またはシュウ酸塩は、水相を用いて再抽出される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 工程a)の終了時に、液体CO2は、地下CO2収納庫に注入される、請求項1〜17のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 電気還元工程b)は、地下CO2収納庫において行われる、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 最終の鉱物化工程は、電気還元工程からのシュウ酸またはギ酸の水溶液による炭酸鉱物の攻撃からなる、請求項1〜18のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記炭酸鉱物は、含カルシウム性またはマグネシア含有性の炭酸鉱物からなる、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 元素Mはカルシウムであり、形成された鉱物は、ウェーベライトCaC2O4・H2Oである、請求項1〜20のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 鉱物化工程は、電気還元工程からのシュウ酸またはギ酸の水溶液を含カルシウム性またはマグネシア含有性の堆積岩石と接触させることによって行われる、請求項1〜21のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 最終の鉱物化工程は、地下への注入によって行われる、請求項1〜22のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
