Abstract
【解決手段】 共役ジエン系単量体、エチレン系不飽和カルボン酸単量体、シアン化ビニル単量体、およびその他共重合可能な単量体の各所定量から成る単量体混合物を用い、単量体混合物100質量部に対し0.5〜2.5質量部の過硫酸塩を重合開始剤として用いて、乳化重合して得られ、過硫酸塩に起因する切片の量に関し、使用した全過硫酸塩量に基づく開始剤切片量に対する、共重合体ラテックスの粒子に結合した重合開始剤の切片量の割合が4〜30%である共重合体ラテックス。

Claims (4)
- (a)共役ジエン系単量体25〜60質量%、(b)エチレン系不飽和カルボン酸単量体1.5〜7質量%、(c)シアン化ビニル単量体10〜30質量%、および(d)その他共重合可能な単量体3〜63.5質量%(但し(a)、(b)、(c)、(d)の合計量は100質量%)から成る単量体混合物を用い、前記単量体混合物100質量部に対し0.5〜2.5質量部の過硫酸塩を重合の開始剤として用いて、乳化重合して得られる共重合体ラテックスであって、前記過硫酸塩に起因する開始剤切片の量に関し、使用した全過硫酸塩量に基づく開始剤切片量に対する、該共重合体ラテックスの粒子に結合した前記開始剤の切片量の割合が4〜30%であることを特徴とする共重合体ラテックス。
- 前記の単量体混合物を乳化重合する際の重合温度に関して、前記単量体混合物の全量に対する重合転化率が、少なくとも60%に到達するまでの期間の重合温度をT(℃)とし、使用した前記の過硫酸塩量に基づく開始剤切片量に対する、該共重合体ラテックスの粒子に結合する開始剤切片量の割合をX(%)とした場合に、前記のTとXとが、下記式(1)、式(2)及び式(3)を同時に満たすことを特徴とする請求項1記載の共重合体ラテックス。

55≦T≦85・・・・・・・(3) - 顔料、共重合体ラテックス、及び澱粉類を含有する紙塗工用組成物であって、前記顔料は、粒子径が2μm以下のものが90質量%以上であるカオリンクレー(k)、またはエンジニアードカオリンクレー(p)から選ばれる少なくとも一種以上のカオリンクレーを含み、かつ前記顔料合計100質量部当たりの、前記カオリンクレー(k)と前記カオリンクレー(p)との合計量が少なくとも20質量部以上であり、さらに前記共重合体ラテックスは、請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載の共重合体ラテックスであることを特徴とする紙塗工用組成物。
- 請求項3に記載の紙塗工用組成物が、表面に塗工処理されたオフセット印刷用塗工紙。
