Abstract
【解決手段】相分離を生じない条件下でポリマー溶液のフイルム、チューブまたは中空糸を成形することによりポリマー溶液を成形後、前記溶液の加熱等の熱アシストを生起し得る。好ましい実施態様では、形成した溶液の本体に温度勾配を生ずるように該形成溶液を短時間加熱する。次いで、溶解しているポリマーを沈降させて細孔構造物を製造する。この方法を用いて、各種の対称性及び非対称性構造物が製造され得る。加熱ステップ中の温度が高い及び/または加熱時間が長いと、最終膜生成物の孔径が大きくなり、異なる孔勾配が生ずる。

(発明の要旨)

本発明は、熱プロフィールがコントロールされている成形されたポリマー溶液からの多孔質ポリマー構造物の製造方法に関する。本発明者は、相分離ステップ前に半結晶性ポリマーの成形溶液にコントロールされた温度勾配を生じさせることにより、コントロールされた孔径勾配を有する構造特徴を有する多孔質構造物を製造することができることを知見した。熱ステップに続いてポリマーを沈降させ、熱ステップの前及びその間沈降を避けることが必須である。
NMP中で20重量%PVDFのPVDF溶液を調製した。注型フィルム(空隙6ミル)を加熱ロッドに2秒間曝すことにより膜を機械的に注型した。同一のラッカー及び凝固手順を用いて2種の構造物:バブルポイントの低いスキンレスの対称性PVDF膜(高温で)及び非対称性膜(中間温度で)を製造した。本発明の非対称性構造のイメージを図3に断面で示す。図4は図3の膜の上面、図5は図3の膜の下面を示す。
Claims (12)
- 0.02から10ミクロンの孔径を有する微孔質ポリマー構造物であって、
a) ポリマー組成物に対する溶媒である成分を少なくとも1つ含む溶媒系中に少なくとも1つのポリマー及び場合によりポリマー組成物に対する溶媒でない1又は2以上の成分を含む均質溶液を調製するステップ、
b) ポリマー溶液を所望の形態に成形するステップ、
c) 前記の所望形態に成形中又はその後に前記した所望形態のポリマー溶液を、相分離を防止する条件下で熱アシストにかけて、該所望形態中に所定の温度プロフィールを生じさせるステップ、
d) ポリマーに対する溶媒でない浴に浸漬させるか又は溶媒を蒸発させることにより、前記ポリマー溶液を相分離するステップ、及び
e) 微孔質ポリマー構造物を回収するステップを含む方法により製造されることを特徴とする前記構造物。 - 前記構造物が膜の形態を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 前記構造物が非対称性膜の形態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 前記構造物は膜の形態であり、非対称性であって、実質的に巨孔及びフィラメント状ウェブを含まないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 前記構造物は膜の形態であり、非対称性であって、実質的に巨孔及びフィラメント状ウェブを含まず、表側の表面多孔率が10%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 前記構造物は膜の形態であり、非対称性であって、実質的に巨孔及びフィラメント状ウェブを含まず、表側の表面多孔率が10から20%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 前記構造物は膜の形態であり、非対称性であって、表側の表面多孔率が10%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 0.02から10ミクロンの孔径を有する微孔質ポリマー構造物であって、第1主表面から第2主表面へ多孔率の非対称勾配を有し、前記第1及び第2主表面はスキンレスであることを特徴とする前記構造物。
- 少なくとも第1主表面は少なくとも10%の多孔率を有していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 少なくとも第1主表面は10から20%の多孔率を有していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 少なくとも第1主表面は10から20%の多孔率を有しており、構造物は膜の形態であり、実質的に巨孔及びフィラメント状ウェブを含んでいないことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
- 微孔質ポリマー構造物がポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)、PVDFブレンド及びPVDFコポリマーからなる群から選択される材料で形成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の微孔質ポリマー構造物。
