Claims (11)
- 多軸押出機用のスクリューであって、
ポリマー樹脂を含む組成物を押出機の供給端部から排出端部まで輸送するための2以上の搬送セクションと、
2本のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントを備える2以上の混合セクションと
を備え、混合セクションの合計の長さ対直径比とスクリューの長さ対直径比との比が約0.17〜約0.5であり、搬送セクションが1以上の混合セクションで隔てられているスクリュー。 - 前記2以上の搬送セクションが、約4〜約12の長さ対直径比を有する第1搬送セクションと、約4〜約12の長さ対直径比を有する第2搬送セクションであり、第1及び第2の搬送セクションの合計の長さ対直径比とスクリューの長さ対直径比との比が約0.5未満である、請求項1記載のスクリュー。
- 前記2以上の混合セクションが、約3〜約15の長さ対直径比を有する第1混合セクションと約3〜約15の長さ対直径比を有する第2混合セクションである、請求項1記載のスクリュー。
- 第1及び第2の混合セクションが前進フライト混練ブロック、後進フライト混練ブロック又は中立フライト混練ブロックを含んでおり、第1及び第2の混合セクションの後進混練ブロックと前進混練ブロックとの比が約1〜約20であり、さらに第1及び第2の混合セクションの中立混練ブロックと前進混練ブロックとの比が約1〜約20である、請求項3記載のスクリュー。
- 第1及び第2の混合セクションが3本以上のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントをさらに含み、3本以上のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントの長さ対直径比と2本のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントの長さ対直径比との比が約0.2〜約1である、請求項2又は請求項3記載のスクリュー。
- 当該スクリューの外径と谷径の比が約1.2以上である、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載のスクリュー。
- 一定直径の押出機で押出組成物を製造するための方法であって、
第1のポリマー樹脂を多軸押出機の第1搬送セクションに供給する段階と、
約5を超える長さ対直径比を有する第1混合セクションで第1のポリマー樹脂を可塑化する段階と、
第2のポリマー樹脂を押出機の第2搬送セクションに供給する段階と、
約5以上の長さ対直径比を有する第2混合セクションで第1のポリマー樹脂を第2のポリマー樹脂とブレンドする段階と
を含み、第1及び第2の混合セクションの長さの合計とスクリューの長さとの比が約0.17〜約0.5であり、スクリュー速度が約500回転毎分以上であり、押出機の固有押出量が約2.5kg/hr・cm3以上である方法。 - 第1及び第2の混合セクションが前進フライト混練ブロック、後進フライト混練ブロック又は中立フライト混練ブロックを含んでおり、第1及び第2の混合セクションの後進混練ブロックと前進混練ブロックとの比が約1〜約20であり、第1及び第2の混合セクションの中立混練ブロックと前進混練ブロックとの比が約1〜約20である、請求項7記載の方法。
- 第1及び第2の混合セクションが、3本以上のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントをさらに含み、3本以上のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントの長さ対直径比と2本のフライトを有するスクリューエレメントの長さ対直径比との比が約0.2〜約1である、請求項7又は請求項8記載の方法。
- 第1及び第2のポリマー樹脂が、ポリアセタール、ポリアクリル樹脂、ポリカーボネート、ポリスチレン、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリアミド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリアリーレート、ポリウレタン、ポリアリールスルホン、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリフェニレンスルフィド、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリスルホン、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、フッ素化エチレンプロピレン、ペルフルオロアルコキシ樹脂、ポリクロロトリフルオロエチレン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニル、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルケトンケトン又はこれらの熱可塑性樹脂の1種以上を含む組合せである熱可塑性樹脂、ポリウレタン、天然ゴム、合成ゴム、エポキシ樹脂、フェノール樹脂、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、シリコーン又はこれらの熱硬化性樹脂の1種以上を含む組合せである熱硬化性樹脂、或いは熱可塑性樹脂と熱硬化性樹脂の組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項7記載の方法。
- 第1のポリマー樹脂と耐衝撃性改良剤押出機の第1搬送セクションに供給する段階と、
約5を超える長さ対直径比を有する第1混合セクションで第1のポリマー樹脂と耐衝撃性改良剤とをブレンドする段階と、
第2のポリマー樹脂を押出機の第2搬送セクションに供給する段階と、
約5以上の長さ対直径比を有する第2混合セクションで第1のポリマー樹脂と耐衝撃性改良剤と第2のポリマー樹脂とをブレンドする段階とを含む方法で製造される押出組成物であって、
第1及び第2の混合セクションの合計の長さとスクリューの長さとの比が約0.17〜約0.5であり、スクリュー速度が約500回転毎分より大きく、固有押出量が2.5kg/hr・cm3より大きく、かつ当該組成物が約250kg・cm以上の衝撃強さを有する押出組成物。
