Abstract
【解決手段】小サイズ通紙用しての端部磁束調整部8aにて低下させた定着ローラ1の端部の温度をリカバリするために、中央磁束調整部8eを動作させ相対的に定着ローラ1の端部温度を持ち上げることで定着性を満足できるような温度リカバリ動作を行う。

Description
図1は本発明に従う電磁誘導加熱方式の加熱装置を画像加熱定着装置として備えた画像形成装置の一例の概略構成模型図である。本例の画像形成装置100は転写式電子写真プロセス利用、レーザ走査露光方式のデジタル画像形成装置(複写機、プリンタ、ファクシミリ、それらの複合機能機等)である。
1)全体的装置構成
図2は本実施例における定着装置116の要部の拡大横断面模型図、図3は同じく正面模型図、図4は同じく縦断面正面模型図である。
磁束調整部材8は、前述のように、磁束発生手段であるコイルユニット3から加熱部材である定着ローラ1への定着ローラ幅方向に関する磁束作用領域、すなわち、励磁コイル6及び定着ローラ1、コア5a・5bで構成される磁気回路部を調整して定着ローラ幅方向に関する温度分布を調整する部材である。
Claims (3)
- 磁束発生手段と、前記磁束発生手段からの磁束により発熱する発熱部材と、前記発熱部材の被加熱材搬送方向に直交する幅方向の領域の一部の温度を低下させる温度低下手段と、前記温度低下手段により温度低下させる領域でない非温度低下領域の温度を検知する温度検知手段と、前記温度検知手段の検知結果に基いて前記発熱体の温度を目標温度にするように温度制御する温度制御手段と、を有し、前記発熱部材の発熱により被加熱材を加熱する加熱装置において、
前記温度検知手段が検知する領域を少なくとも含む前記非温度低下領域の磁束を調整する磁束調整部材と、前記磁束調整部材を所定の磁束調整作用位置へ移動させる移動手段と、を有し、前記温度低下手段により前記発熱体の温度が低下した場合、前記磁束調整部材を前記磁束調整作用位置へ移動させることを特徴とする加熱装置。 - 前記温度低下手段は、前記磁束調整部材であり、前記発熱部材の温度を低下するための磁束調整部と、前記発熱部材の温度回復を行う磁束調整部と、を一体で有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記磁束調整手段は、前記発熱部材の被加熱材搬送方向に直交する幅方向において、前記発熱部材の端部に対する磁束を調整する位置と、前記発熱部材の中央部に対する磁束を調整する位置と、前記磁束調整部材に磁束が作用しない位置と、を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の加熱装置。
