Claims (21)
- 金属含有触媒存在下、水と、少なくとも二つの炭素原子を有する水溶性酸化炭化水素とを反応することを有し、
前記触媒は、VIIIB族遷移金属、該金属の合金及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択された金属を有することを特徴とする、水素の生成方法。 - 凝縮相リフォーミングによる水素の生成方法であって:
前記凝縮相において、金属含有触媒の存在下、水と水溶性酸化炭化水素とを反応することを有し、
前記触媒は、VIIIB族遷移金属、該金属の合金及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択された金属を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とは、約100℃以上約450℃以上の温度にて、且つ、前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とがガス状である圧力にて、反応されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とは、約400℃未満の温度にて、且つ、前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とが凝縮液体である圧力にて、反応されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とは、約4.0以上約10.0以下のpHで反応されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒は、ニッケル、パラジウム、白金、ルテニウム、ロジウム及びイリジウム、これらの合金並びにこれらの混合物からなる群から選択された金属を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒は、IB族金属、IIB族金属、VIIB族金属、IVA族金属及びVA族金属からなる群から選択された金属で、さらに合金化又は混合されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記金属は、銅、亜鉛、レニウム、ゲルマニウム、スズ及びビスマスからなる群から選択された金属で、さらに合金化又は混合されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒は支持体に接着されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記支持体は、シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア、チタニア、セリア、炭素、シリカ−アルミナ、シリカナイトライド及びホウ素ナイトライド並びにこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記支持体は、水素及び水酸基からなる群から選択された表面残基を除去するように表面改質されていることを特徴とする請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- 前記支持体は、シラン、アルカリ化合物及びアルカリ土類化合物からなる群から選択されたモディファイヤーで処理することにより改質されていることを特徴とする請求項9乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記支持体は、トリメチルエトキシシランで改質されたシリカであることを特徴とする請求項9乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記支持体は、ゼオライト、カーボンナノチューブ、炭素フルーラン及びナノ多孔性支持体からなる群から選択されていることを特徴とする請求項9乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とは、約400℃未満の温度にて、且つ、前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とが凝縮液体である圧力にて、反応されることを特徴とし、当該方法は、アルカリ又はアルカリ土類金属の水溶性塩の存在下、前記水と前記水溶性酸化炭化水素とを反応することをさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至2及び4乃至14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水溶性塩は、アルカリ若しくはアルカリ土類金属の、水酸化物、炭酸塩、硝酸塩及び塩化物からなる群から選択されていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記水溶性酸化炭化水素は、酸素に対する炭素の比率が1:1であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水溶性酸化炭化水素は、2以上12以下の炭素数を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水溶性酸化炭化水素は、メタノール、エタンジオール、エタンジオン、グリセロール、グリセルアルデヒド、アルドテトロース、アルドペントース、アルドヘキソース、ケトテトロース、ケトペントース、ケトヘキソース及びアルジトールからなる群から選択されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水溶性酸化炭化水素は、アルドヘキソース及び該アルドヘキソースに対応するアルジトールからなる群から選択されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水と前記酸化炭化水素とは、約300℃未満の温度にて反応されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至20のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
