Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】 空気噴射機能を有するロボット掃除機を提供
する。 【解決手段】 下部に輪が設けられ、掃除面の異物を吸
い込む吸込ポートを有するロボット掃除機本体と、吸込
ポートを通して吸い込まれた空気から異物を除去した
後、綺麗な空気を吸込ポートに隣接した空気噴射口に再
噴射して掃除面の異物を飛散させる空気循環メカニズム
と、空気噴射口から噴射された空気圧により飛散された
異物が外部に外れることを防止するよう掃除面と本体と
の間をシーリングするシーリング部材とを備える。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明はロボット掃除機に係
り、さらに詳しくは空気噴射機能を有するロボット掃除
機に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】一般にロボット掃除機は、ユーザが操作
しなくても掃除しようとする区域内を自走しつつ床面か
ら埃などの異物を吸い込むことにより、掃除しようとす
る区域を自動に掃除する機器である。
【０００３】このようなロボット掃除機は、距離センサ
を通して掃除区域内に設けられた器具や事務用品、壁な
どの障害物までの距離を判別し、これによりロボット掃
除機の左輪モータと右輪モータを選択的に駆動させるこ
とにより、自ら方向を転換して行きながら掃除区域を掃
除する。
【０００４】図１を参照するに、従来のロボット掃除機
は、掃除機本体１０と、掃除機本体１０の下部に設けら
れる駆動輪１１と縦動輪１２と、を備える。また、掃除
機本体１０の上部にはリモコンとの信号送受信のための
アンテナ１３と、距離センサ１４が所定位置に設けられ
る。また、掃除機本体１０の内部には吸込力を発生させ
る駆動モータ(図示せず)と異物回収箱及びフィルタなど
が設けられる。駆動モータの吸込力は掃除機本体１０の
下部に設けられる吸込ポート１５に伝達されることによ
り、掃除面上の埃などの異物が吸込力により吸込ポート
１５に引っ込まれて除去される。
【０００５】ところが、前述した構成によれば、ロボッ
ト掃除機は自ら掃除区域を所定走行パターンに走行しつ
つ掃除面の異物を掃除するようになるが、例えば掃除面
にくっついている異物や、特にカーペットなどにくっつ
いている異物を完璧に掃除できないまま掃除区域を通り
過ぎてしまう場合がある。この場合、実質的に異物を綺
麗に掃除できなかったにも関わらず、掃除を終えたこと
と間違って不完全な掃除作業に止まる恐れがある。この
場合は、吸込ポート１５にかかる吸込力だけでは掃除面
の異物を掃き出して除去するのに限界がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は前述した問題
点を解決するために案出されたもので、その目的は掃除
面の異物を掃き出した後異物の飛散を防止しつつ効率よ
く除去できるよう改善されたロボット掃除機を提供する
にある。

【課題を解決するための手段】前述した目的を達成する
ための本発明に係るロボット掃除機は、下部に輪が設け
られ、掃除面の異物を吸い込む吸込ポートを有するロボ
ット掃除機本体と、前記吸込ポートを通して吸い込まれ
た空気から異物を除去した後、綺麗な空気を前記吸込ポ
ートに隣接した空気噴射口に再噴射して掃除面の異物を
飛散させる空気循環メカニズムと、前記空気噴射口から
噴射された空気圧により飛散された異物が外部に外れる
ことを防止するよう前記掃除面と前記本体との間をシー
リングするシーリング部材とを備えることを特徴とす
る。
【０００８】ここで、前記空気循環メカニズムは、前記
本体内に設けられる循環ポンプと、該循環ポンプと前記
吸込ポートとを連結する空気吸込管と、該空気吸込管に
設けられるフィルタと、前記循環ポンプと前記空気噴射
口とを連結する空気噴射管とを備えることが望ましい。
【０００９】また、前記空気噴射口は前記掃除機本体の
進行方向に前記吸込ポートの前方に形成され、前記吸込
ポート側に空気を噴射することが望ましい。
【００１０】そして、前記シーリング部材は、前記吸込
ポートと前記空気噴射口の周りを境界にして掃除機本体
の下面に突出され前記掃除面に接触設置され、弾性変形
自在なゴム材質よりなることが望ましい。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、添付した図に基づき本発明
の実施例によるロボット掃除機を詳述する。
【００１２】図２及び図３を参照すれば、本発明の実施
例によるロボット掃除機は、ロボット掃除機本体２０
と、掃除機本体２０に設けられる空気循環メカニズム３
０と、シーリング部材４０とを備える。
【００１３】掃除機本体２０は掃除区域を自走しつつ掃
除するもので、下部には複数の輪２１が設けられる。ま
た、掃除機本体２０の下部には掃除面から埃などの異物
を空気と共に吸い込むための吸込ポート２３が形成さ
れ、吸込ポート２３に隣接して空気噴射口２５が形成さ
れる。
【００１４】吸込ポート２３にはモータ２６により回転
駆動される回転ブラシ２７が設けられる。回転ブラシ２
７は、フレキシブルなワイヤ軸に多数のブラシが連結さ
れた構造を有する。回転ブラシ２７はモータ２６により
回転しつつ掃除面の埃などを掃き出す。
【００１５】空気噴射口２５は、吸込ポート２３に隣接
して、望ましくは掃除機本体２０の進行方向について吸
込ポート２３より前方に置かれる。この空気噴射口２５
は複数個設けられ、ノズル状に設けられることが望まし
い。この空気噴射口２５を通して空気が掃除面に噴射さ
れ、掃除面にくっついている埃やカーペットなどに積も
った異物を掃き出して飛散させる。
【００１６】空気循環メカニズム３０は、吸込ポート２
３を通して吸い込まれた空気から異物を除去した後、綺
麗な空気を空気噴射口２５に再噴射する。このような空
気循環メカニズム３０は掃除機本体２０内に設けられる
循環ポンプ３１と、循環ポンプ３１と吸込ポート２３と
を連結する空気吸込管３３と、空気吸込管３３に設けら
れ吸い込まれる空気から異物を濾し出すフィルタ３５
と、循環ポンプ３１と空気噴射口２５とを連結する空気
噴射管３７と、を備える。前記構成によれば、吸込ポー
ト２３で吸い込まれた空気は空気吸込管３３、フィルタ
３５、循環ポンプ３１、空気噴射管３７を循環した後空
気噴射口２５に再噴射される。
【００１７】シーリング部材４０は、空気噴射口２５か
ら噴射された空気圧により飛散された異物が外部に外れ
ることを防止するよう掃除面と掃除機本体２０との間を
シーリングするためのものである。このようなシーリン
グ部材４０は、吸込ポート２３と空気噴射口２５の周り
を境界にして掃除機本体２０の下面に突出され掃除面に
接触設置される。このシーリング部材４０は弾性変形自
在なゴム材質のものが望ましい。従って、掃除機本体２
０の移動時シーリング部材４０は掃除面に接触する状態
に移動しつつ、掃除面から飛散される異物を一定空間内
に閉じ込めることにより、吸込ポート２３を通して吸い
込みできるようにする。シーリング部材４０はスカート
状に設けられることが望ましい。

【発明の効果】以上述べた通り、本発明に係るロボット
掃除機によれば、吸い込まれた空気を再び噴射する構成
を有することにより埃及び異物を飛散させ効率よく除去
することができる。
【００１９】また、飛散された異物が遠くまで飛ぶこと
を防止するようシーリング部材を設けることにより、飛
散された異物により掃除面が再度汚染されることを防止
し効率よく掃除できる利点がある。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 下部に輪が設けられ、掃除面の異物を吸
    い込む吸込ポートを有するロボット掃除機本体と、前記
    吸込ポートを通して吸い込まれた空気から異物を除去し
    た後、綺麗な空気を前記吸込ポートに隣接した空気噴射
    口に再噴射して掃除面の異物を飛散させる空気循環メカ
    ニズムと、前記空気噴射口から噴射された空気圧により
    飛散された異物が外部に外れることを防止するよう前記
    掃除面と前記本体との間をシーリングするシーリング部
    材とを備えることを特徴とするロボット掃除機。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記空気循環メカニズムは、前記本体内
    に設けられる循環ポンプと、該循環ポンプと前記吸込ポ
    ートとを連結する空気吸込管と、該空気吸込管に設けら
    れるフィルタと、前記循環ポンプと前記空気噴射口とを
    連結する空気噴射管とを備えることを特徴とする請求項
    １に記載のロボット掃除機。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記空気噴射口は、前記掃除機本体の進
    行方向に前記吸込ポートの前方に形成され、前記吸込ポ
    ート側に空気を噴射することを特徴とする請求項１に記
    載のロボット掃除機。
  4. 【請求項４】 前記シーリング部材は、前記吸込ポート
    と前記空気噴射口の周りを境界にして掃除機本体の下面
    に突出され前記掃除面に接触するよう設けられ、弾性変
    形自在なゴム材質よりなることを特徴とする請求項１に
    記載のロボット掃除機。
