- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.式: In−P−Am を有する水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂であって、 式中、Iはイオン性基であり;n=1〜3はイオン性基の数であり;Pはポリエ ステル幹であり;Aは脂肪の脂肪族基(fatty aliphatic group)であり;m=3 〜8は脂肪の脂肪族基の数であり、また、式中、Iは約1%から20重量%までの 量で存在し;ポリエステル幹は約30%から80重量%までの量で存在し、かつ、脂 肪の脂肪族基は約10%ないし60重量%の量で存在し;前記ポリエステル樹脂は、 一滴の水が前記樹脂で被覆されているセルロース性支持体の表面に適用される場 合に少くとも98の最初の接触角により示されるような高い撥水性を表わす樹脂。 2.Iが5%から10重量%までの範囲にわたる量で存在する、請求の範囲1の水 分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 3.ポリエステル幹Pが50%から60重量%までの範囲にわたる量で存在する、請 求の範囲1の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 4.脂肪酸基Aが20%から40重量%までの範囲にわたる量で存在する、請求の範 囲1の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 5.Iが、無水トリメリツト酸、トリメリツト酸および無水マレイン酸から成る 群から選択される多価カルボン酸もしくは無水物から導かれる、請求の範囲1の 水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 6.ポリエステル幹Pが、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリプロピレンテレフ タレートおよびポリブチレンテレフタレートから成る群から選択されるポリアル キレンテレフタレートである、請求の範囲1の水分散 性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 7.脂肪酸基Aが、ステアリン酸、ベヘン酸、パルミチン酸、ラウリン酸、オレ イン酸およびリノール酸から成る群から選択される、請求の範囲1の水分散性か つ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 8.30〜70重量%のテレフタレートポリマー;5〜40重量%の少くとも2個のヒ ドロキシル基を有するヒドロキシ官能性化合物;1〜20重量%の少くとも2個の カルボキシル基を有するカルボキシ官能性化合物、および10〜60重量%のC6− C24の直鎖もしくは分枝鎖状の脂肪酸もしくはそのトリグリセリドから成る群か ら選択される疎水性化合物の反応生成物を含んで成る、水分散性かつ疎水性のポ リエステル樹脂であって;前記樹脂は、ヒドロキシ官能性化合物が疎水性部分の 1〜3倍等量で存在することをさらに特徴とする樹脂。 9.単位式 式中、Rは、式 HO(CxH2xO)nCxH2xOH (2) 式中、xは2から4までの整数であり、かつ、nは1〜10である、 の2〜10個の炭素の脂肪族もしくは環式脂肪族グリコールまたは酸素化されたグ リコールの残基である、 の廃棄物テレフタレートの反応生成物を含んで成る、請求の範囲8の水分散性か つ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 10.廃棄物テレフタレートポリマーが、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリ1 ,2プロピレンテレフタレート、ポリ1,3プロピレンテレフタ レート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリ(シクロヘキサンジメタノールテレ フタレート)もしくはそれらの混合物である、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎水 性のポリエステル樹脂。 11.少くとも2個のヒドロキシル基を有する前記ヒドロキシ官能性化合物が、 エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、シクロ ヘキサンジメタノール、プロピレングリコール、1,2−プロピレングリコール 、1,3−プロパンジオール、1,2−ブチレングリコール、1,3−ブタンジ オール、1,4−ブタンジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール、1,5−ペンタン ジオール、1,6−ヘキサンジオール、グリセロール、トリメチロールプロパン 、トリメチロールエタン、ペンタエリトリトール、エリトリトールもしくは単糖 類から成る群から選択される、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステ ル樹脂。 12.少くとも2個のヒドロキシル基を有する前記ヒドロキシ官能性化合物が、 グリセロール、トリメチロールプロパン、トリメチロールエタン、ペンタエリト リトール、エリトリトール、またはヒドロキシ官能性化合物のヒドロキシルあた り5〜30モルのエチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシドもしくはそれらの混合物 でオキシアルキル化された単糖類の誘導体から成る群から選択される、請求の範 囲8の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 13.少くとも2個のカルボキシル基を有する前記カルボキシ官能性化合物が、 トリメリツト酸、無水トリメリツト酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、フマル酸 およびイソフタル酸から成る群から選択される、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎 水性のポリエステル樹脂。 14.前記疎水性化合物が、ステアリン酸、オレイン酸、リノール酸、ベヘン酸 、ラウリン酸、パルミチン酸、牛脂、ラード、トウモロコシ油およびダイズ油か ら成る群から選択される、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹 脂。 15.40〜60重量%のポリエチレンテレフタレートポリマー;1〜10重量%のネ オペンチルグリコール;5〜10%のペンタエリトリトール;3ないし15重量%の トリメリツト酸もしくは無水トリメリツト酸;および10〜45重量%のステアリン 酸の反応生成物を含んで成る、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステ ル樹脂。 16.スズ酸モノブチルもしくはチタン酸テトラアルキル、またはそれらの混合 物の存在下で製造される反応生成物を含んで成る、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ 疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 17.アルカリ金属もしくはアンモニウムの水酸化物もしくは炭酸塩と共に水中 に分散される、請求の範囲8の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 18.アルカリ金属もしくはアンモニウムの水酸化物もしくは炭酸塩と共に水中 に分散される、請求の範囲15の水分散性かつ疎水性のポリエステル樹脂。 19.30〜70重量%のテレフタレートポリマー;5〜40重量%の少くとも2個の ヒドロキシル基を有するヒドロキシ官能性化合物;1〜20重量%の少くとも2個 のカルボキシル基を有するカルボキシ官能性化合物、および10〜60重量%のC6 −C24の直鎖もしくは分枝鎖状の脂肪酸もしくはそのトリグリセリドから成る群 から選択される疎水性化合物の反応生成物を含んで成る水分散性かつ疎水性のポ リエステルコーティング組 成物で被覆された支持体を含んで成る製品。 20.前記支持体が線維性支持体である、請求の範囲19の製品。 21.前記支持体が紙支持体である、請求の範囲19の製品。 22.前記支持体が織物支持体である、請求の範囲19の製品。 23.前記支持体が食品包装体である、請求の範囲19の製品。 24.前記支持体が剥離紙である、請求の範囲19の製品。 25.前記支持体がコンクリートである、請求の範囲19の製品。 26.前記テレフタレートポリマーが、単位式 式中、Rは、式 HO(CxH2xO)nCxH2xOH (2) 式中、xは2から4までの整数であり、かつ、nは1〜10である、 の2〜10個の炭素の脂肪族もしくは環式脂肪族グリコールまたは酸素化されたグ リコールの残基である、 の廃棄物テレフタレートである、請求の範囲19の被覆された製品。 27.廃棄物テレフタレートポリマーが、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリ1 ,2プロピレンテレフタレート、ポリ1,3プロピレンテレフタレート、ポリブ チレンテレフタレート、ポリ(シクロヘキサンジメタノールテレフタレート)も しくはそれらの混合物である、請求の範囲26の被覆された製品。 28.少くとも2個のヒドロキシル基を有する前記ヒドロキシ官能性化合物が、 エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、シクロ ヘキサンジメタノール、プロピレングリコール、1, 2−プロピレングリコール、1,3−プロパンジオール、1,2−ブチレングリ コール、1,3−ブタンジオール、1,4−ブタンジオール、ネオペンチルグリ コール、1,5−ペンタンジオール、1,6−ヘキサンジオール、グリセロール 、トリメチロールプロパン、トリメチロールエタン、ペンタエリトリトール、エ リトリトールもしくは単糖類から成る群から選択される、請求の範囲19の被覆 された製品。 29.少くとも2個のヒドロキシル基を有する前記ヒドロキシ官能性化合物が、 グリセロール、トリメチロールプロパン、トリメチロールエタン、ペンタエリト リトール、エリトリトール、またはヒドロキシ官能性化合物のヒドロキシルあた り5〜30モルのエチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシドもしくはそれらの混合物 でオキシアルキル化された単糖類の誘導体から成る群から選択される、請求の範 囲19の被覆された製品。 30.少くとも2個のカルボキシル基を有する前記カルボキシ官能性化合物が、 トリメリツト酸、無水トリメリツト酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、フマル酸 およびイソフタル酸から成る群から選択される、請求の範囲19の被覆された製 品。 31.前記疎水性化合物が、ステアリン酸、オレイン酸、リノール酸、ベヘン酸 、ラウリン酸、パルミチン酸、牛脂、ラード、トウモロコシ油およびダイズ油か ら成る群から選択される、請求の範囲19の被覆された製品。 32.40〜60重量%のポリエチレンテレフタレートポリマー;1〜10重量%のネ オペンチルグリコール;5〜10%のペンタエリトリトール;3ないし15重量%の トリメリツト酸もしくは無水トリメリツト酸;および10〜45重量%のステアリン 酸の反応生成物を含んで成る水分散性かつ疎 水性のポリエステルコーティング組成物で被覆された支持体を含んで成る製品。 33.前記支持体が線維性支持体である、請求の範囲32の製品。 34.前記支持体が紙支持体である、請求の範囲32の製品。 35.前記支持体が織物支持体である、請求の範囲32の製品。 36.前記支持体が食品包装体である、請求の範囲32の製品。 37.前記支持体が剥離紙である、請求の範囲32の製品。 38.前記支持体がコンクリートである、請求の範囲32の製品。 39.30〜70重量%のテレフタレートポリマー;5〜40重量%の少くとも2個の ヒドロキシル基を有するヒドロキシ官能性化合物;1〜20重量%の少くとも2個 のカルボキシル基を有するカルボキシ官能性化合物、および10〜60重量%のC6 −C24の直鎖もしくは分枝鎖状の脂肪酸もしくはそのトリグリセリドから成る群 から選択される疎水性化合物の反応生成物を含んで成る、撥水性ポリエステルコ ーティング組成物。 40.40〜60重量%のポリエチレンテレフタレートポリマー;1〜10重量%のネ オペンチルグリコール;5〜10%のペンタエリトリトール;3ないし15重量%の トリメリチン酸もしくは無水トリメリチン酸;および10〜45重量%のステアリン 酸の反応生成物を含んで成る、撥水性ポリエステルコーティング組成物。 41.30〜70重量%のテレフタレートポリマー;5〜40重量%の少くとも2個の ヒドロキシル基を有するヒドロキシ官能基化合物;1〜20重量%の少くとも2個 のカルボキシル基を有するカルボキシ官能基化合物、および10〜60重量%のC6 −C24の直鎖もしくは分枝鎖状の脂肪酸もしくはそのトリグリセリドから成る群 から選択される疎水性化合物の反応 生成物を含んで成る組成物を、線維性支持体およびレザーから成る群から選択さ れる支持体に適用することを含んで成る、こうした支持体に撥水性を与える方法 。
