Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. カテーテルが通路をもつチューブ部及び流体不浸透性壁体で定められ、チ ューブ部に固定された、中空の膨張しうるバルーン部からなり、バルーン部が通 路を流通する流体で膨張しかつ収縮する、哺乳類の体腔を容易に拡張するための バルーンカテーテル用バルーン部であって、 a. バルーン部の壁体が、その材と一体に設けられた強化用繊維を有する、 可撓性で実質的に流体不浸透性の材から形成されること、及び b. バルーン部が、膨張状態で、より小径の端部及び該端部の中間にあるよ り幅広の径部を有するように、所望の半径方向の径に前以て成形され(pref ormed)、かつ実質的に均一な膜厚を有すること で特徴づけられるバルーンカテーテル用バルーン部。 2. 強化用繊維がポリマー又は金属メッシュで与えられることで特徴づけられ る、請求項1記載のバルーン。 3. 強化用繊維が金属又はポリマー材の編組(braid)として与えられる ことで特徴づけられる、請求項1又は2記載のバルーン。 4. 強化用繊維が形状記憶特性を有する材から作られるかあるいは該材を含有 することで特徴づけられる、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載のバルーン。 5. 強化用繊維がバルーンのより幅広の径部の半径方向の膨張を制限すること で特徴づけられる、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載のバルーン。6. 強化用 繊維がバルーンのより幅広の径部が未延伸の展開径の115%より大径に半径方 向に延伸されるのを防止することで特徴づけられる、請求項5記載のバルーン。 7. 強化用繊維がポリマー又は金属のフィラメントの2つの対向する螺旋形態 であることで特徴づけられる、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載のバルーン。 8. 可撓性壁体材がポリウレタンであることで特徴づけられる、先行する請求 項のいずれかに記載のバルーン。 9. 強化用繊維がポリエステルポリマーのフィラメントであることで特徴づけ られる、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載のバルーン。 10. 実質的に添付図面のいずれかについて上記したように、かつ添付図面の いずれかに示されるように先行する請求項のいずれかに記載された、バルーンカ テーテル用バルーン。 11. カテーテルが通路をもつチューブ部及び流体不浸透性壁体で定められ、 チューブ部に固定された、中空の膨張しうるバルーン部からなり、バルーン部が 通路を流通する流体で膨張しかつ収縮する、哺乳類の体腔を容易に拡張するため のバルーンカテーテルであって、バルーン部が先行する請求項のいずれかに記載 されるようなバルーンであることで特徴づけられるバルーンカテーテル 12. a) 壁体材(wall material)用の、実質的に流体不浸 透性の(fluid impervious)材及び強化用繊維からなる壁体組 成を有する、概してチューブ状の部材(tubular member)を、形 成すること、 b) チューブ状の部材を、その末端付近の内径がバルーンを装着するのが望 まれるカテーテル管の外径あるいはその付近に縮小されるまで軸方向に延伸する こと、 c) 延伸されたチューブ状の部材の端部の縮小された内径を固定するために 軸方向に延伸されたチューブの端部の少なくとも一方にある処理方法を適用する こと、及び d) 縮小された寸法の端部の中間にある、チューブ状の部材の部分を本発明 のバルーンのより幅広の径部を与えるように半径方向に膨張させるためにチュー ブ状の部材の軸方向の延伸を解除すること からなることで特徴づけられる、請求項1記載のバルーンカテーテル用バルーン の製造方法。 13. チューブ状の部材の端部の固定方法が端部を加熱することからなること で特徴づけられる、請求項15記載の方法。 14. 少なくとも、チューブ状の部材の端部が部分的に硬化されたポリマーか らなり、チューブ状の部材の端部の固定方法が部分的に硬化されたポリマーをさ らに重合させることからなる請求項12記載の方法。 15. 添付図面のいずれかについて上記したように、かつ添付図面のいずれか に示されるように実質的に本文中に記載された、バルーンカテーテル用バルーン の製造方法。
