Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 固溶体となっている、酸化セリウム及び少なくとも1種のその他の貴金属 でない金属の酸化物の粉末の製造方法であって、次の段階: セリウム塩及び少なくとも1種の貴金属でない金属の塩の溶液を調製する段階 ; その溶液の微細な霧を形成する段階; その微細な霧を、セリウム塩及び少なくとも1種の貴金属でない金属の塩を分 解するのに十分な温度で加熱することによって乾燥する段階;及び 酸化セリウム及び少なくとも1種の貴金属でない金属の酸化物が原子的に混合 され完全な固溶体になっており、その貴金属でない金属の酸化物が全固溶体の約 7〜約80重量%を構成している粒子を形成する段階を含んで成る方法。 2. セリウム塩が酢酸セリウムである請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 貴金属でない金属の塩が、貴金属でない金属の酢酸塩である請求項1に記 載の方法。 4. 貴金属でない金属の酸化物が、遷移金属酸化物、希土類金属酸化物、及び それらの混合物から成る群から選ばれる請求項1に記載の方法。 5. 貴金属でない金属の酸化物が、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化イットリウム、ラ ンタニド、及びアクチニド、並びにそれらの混合物から成る群から選ばれる請求 項4に記載の方法。 6. 貴金属でない金属の酸化物が、酸化ジルコニウムである請求項4に記載の 方法。 7. 微細な霧が、直径が約10μm〜約200μmの液滴を含んで成 る請求項1に記載の方法。 8. 請求項1の方法によって製造される組成物。 9. 請求項6の方法によって製造される組成物。 10. 安定化作用を有する他の酸化物を使用することなく立方体構造を有する 請求項8に記載の組成物。 11. 酸化セリウム中の酸化ジルコニウムの重量%が約25と約42の間であ る請求項8に記載の組成物。 12. 粒子が約60m2/gの表面積及び約25〜約150オングストローム の微結晶サイズを有する請求項8に記載の組成物。 13. 粒子の約700℃迄における酸素貯蔵能力が、約300μモル/g〜約 500μモル/gである請求項8に記載の組成物。 14. 基体上にコーティングされており、そして、その上に貴金属触媒が沈着 している請求項8に記載の組成物。 15. 酸化ジルコニウムと酸化セリウムの固溶体を含んで成る組成物であって 、酸化ジルコニウムが組成物の約25〜約42重量%であり、そして組成物の約 700℃迄における酸素貯蔵能力が約300μモル/g〜約500μモル/gの 範囲である組成物。
