Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. ビニルアレーンモノマーのポリマーを含有するポリマー粒子を製造する方 法であって、 a)極性ポリマー自体の乾燥重量1g当たり少なくとも0.5gの水を吸収し得 る極性ポリマーをビニルアレーンモノマーと混合し、 b)前記のようにして得られた混合物中のビニルアレーンモノマーを15〜50 %の重合度まで初期重合させて初期重合塊を得、 c)初期重合塊を水性媒質中に懸濁させて懸濁粒子を得、 d)懸濁粒子を重合させてモノマー変換を完了する ことを含む方法。 2. 得られたポリマー粒子を水性混合物から分離し、かつ発泡させて予備発泡 粒子とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 予備発泡粒子を更に処理して発泡品を得ることを特徴とする請求項2に記 載の方法。 4. 極性ポリマーがポリビニルピロリドンであることを特徴 とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 5. 極性ポリマーが澱粉、またはエステル化もしくはエーテル化によって改質 された澱粉であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の方法 。 6. 極性ポリマーの量が極性ポリマー及びビニルアレーンモノマーの量に基づ き2.0〜20重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項に 記載の方法。 7. ビニルアレーンモノマーのポリマーと、極性ポリマー自体の乾燥重量1g 当たり少なくとも0.5gの水を吸収し得る極性ポリマーと、水とを含有するポ リマー粒子であって、その含水量がビニルアレーンの量に基づき3重量%を越え て40重量%までであるポリマー粒子。 8. C3〜C6炭化水素を0.5重量%未満しか含有せず、好ましくは全く含有 しないことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のポリマー粒子。 9. 極性ポリマー含量が極性ポリマー及びビニルアレーンに基づき2.0〜2 0重量%であることを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載のポリマー粒子。 10. ビニルアレーンモノマーのポリマーと、極性ポリマー 自体の乾燥重量1g当たり少なくとも0.5gの水を吸収し得る極性ポリマーと を含有する発泡品であって、極性ポリマー含量が極性ポリマー及びビニルアレー ンに基づき2.0〜20重量%である発泡品。 11. 請求項8から9のいずれか1項に記載のポリマー粒子の発泡品製造への 使用。
