Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.身体への物質の送達または身体からの分析物の回収に対する皮膚または粘 膜の障壁特性を低減するデバイスであって、 (a)下面および上面を備えるベースと、 (b)該べースの下面から延びる複数の穿孔部材であって、下層組織を有意に損 傷することなく、皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減するに十分な深さまで穿 孔するよう構成された穿孔部材と、 (c)該べースの下面から該ベースの上面まで延びる複数の穴であって、毛管作 用によりそこを液体が通過することを可能にするよう構成された穴と、 (d)該穴と相互接続するように上記ベースの上面に形成された水路網とを備え る、デバイス。 2.前記デバイスがマイクロ・リソグラフィーにより製造される、請求項1に 記載のデバイス。 3.前記デバイスがシリコン、金属、およびプラスチックからなる群から選択 される材料から製造される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 4.前記穿孔部材がピラミッド型またはくさび型形状である、請求項1に記載 のデバイス。 5.前記ピラミッド型またはくさび型が1μmより小さいコーナー半径を有す る鋭いエッジを備える、請求項4に記載のデバイス。 6.前記穿孔部材が、皮膚または粘膜に約30ないし50μmの深さまでの穿孔 するように構成される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 7.前記複数の穿孔部材が、前記ベースの下面の表面積の約50%までを占有す る、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 8.前記穿孔部材が、そのベースにおいて約10ないし50μmの寸法を有する、 請求項1に記載のデバイス。 9.前記穴の各々が穿孔部材に隣接して配置される、請求項1に記載のデバイ ス。 10.前記水路網が、液体を保有するための貯水器をさらに備える、請求項1に 記載のデバイス。 11.前記ベースが実質的に平面状である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 12.振動生成のための機構をさらに備え、該振動が前記穿孔部材の皮膚または 粘膜への効速度的かつ無傷害の挿入を容易にする、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 13.前記振動生成のための機構が圧電型変換器を備える、請求項12に記載のデ バイス。 14.前記振動生成のための機構が、約2000Hzないし約100MHzの範囲で振 動を生成する、請求項12に記載のデバイス。 15.身体に送達される液体薬物組成物を保有する外部貯蔵器をさらに備える、 請求項1に記載のデバイス。 16.薬物送達速度を制限するための機構をさらに備え、該機構が前記外部貯蔵 器と前記穿孔部材との間に配置される、請求項15に記載のデバイス。 17.前記デバイスが使い捨て可能である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。 18.身体への物質の送達または身体からの分析物の回収に対する皮膚または粘 膜の障壁機能を低減する方法であって、 (a)下面および上面を備えるベースと、 該ベースの下面から延びる複数の穿孔部材であって、下層組織を有意に 損傷することなく、皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減するに十分な深さまで 穿孔するよう構成された穿孔部材と、 該ベースの下面から該ベースの上面まで延びる複数の穴であって、毛管 作用によりそこを液体が通過することを可能にするよう構成された穴と、 該穴と相互接続するように該ベースの上面に形成された水路網とを備え るデバイスを提供する工程と、 (b)該複数の穿孔部材が皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減させるに十分な 深さまで穿孔するように、該デバイスを皮膚または粘膜と接触させる工程、 とを包含する、方法。 19.前記デバイスがマイクロ・リソグラフィーにより製造される、請求項18に 記載の方法。 20.前記デバイスがシリコン、金属、およびプラスティックからなる群から選 択される材料から製造される、請求項18に記載の方法。 21.前記穿孔部材がピラミッド型またはくさび型の形状である、請求項18に記 載の方法。 22.前記ピラミッド型またはくさび型が、1μmより小さいコーナー半径を有 する鋭いエッジを備える、請求項21に記載の方法。 23.前記穿孔部材が、皮膚または粘膜に約30ないし50μmの深さまで穿孔する ように構成される、請求項18に記載の方法。 24.前記複数の穿孔部材が、前記ベースの下面の表面積の約50%までを占有す る、請求項18に記載の方法。 25.前記穿孔部材が、そのベースにおいて約10ないし50μmの寸法である、請 求項18に記載の方法。 26.前記穴の各々が穿孔部材に隣接して配置される、請求項18に記載の方法。 27.前記水路網が、液体を保有するための貯水器をさらに備える、請求項18に 記載の方法。 28.前記ベースが実質的に平面状である、請求項18に記載の方法。 29.振動生成のための機構をさらに備え、該振動が前記穿孔部材の皮膚または 粘膜への効速度的かつ無傷害の挿入を容易にする、請求項18に記載の方法。 30.前記振動生成のための機構が変換器を備える、請求項29に記載の方法。 31.前記振動生成のための機構が、約2000Hzないし約100MHzの範囲で振 動を生成する、請求項29に記載の方法。 32.身体に送達される液体薬物組成物を保有する外部貯蔵器をさらに備える、 請求項18に記載の方法。 33.薬物送達速度を制限するための機構をさらに備え、該機構が前記外部貯蔵 器と前記穿孔部材との間に配置される、請求項32に記載の方法。 34.前記デバイスが使い捨て可能である。請求項18に記載の方法。 35.身体の選択された分析物を経皮監視または経粘膜監視する方法であって、 (a)下面および上面を備えるベースと、 該ベースの下面から延びる複数の穿孔部材であって、下層組織を有意に 損傷することなく、皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減するに十分な深さまで 穿孔するよう構成された穿孔部材と、 該ベースの下面から該ベースの上面まで延びる複数の穴であって、毛管 作用によりそこを液体が通過することを可能にするよう構成された穴と、 該穴と相互接続するように上記ベースの上面に形成された水路網とを備 え、該水路網が貯蔵器を有するデバイスを提供する工程と、 (b)該複数の穿孔部材が皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減させるに十分な 深さまで穿孔した結果、皮膚または粘膜の表面に間質液を浸出させ、間質液が毛 管作用により該穴を通り該水路を通って貯蔵器へと移動するように、該デバイス を皮膚または粘膜と接触させる工程と、 (c)該貯蔵器から間質液を回収する工程と、 (d)選択された分析物について間質液を分析する工程とを包含する、方法。 36.間質液の回収速度を増大させるために吸引を応用する工程をさらに包含す る、請求項35に記載の方法。 37.前記選択された分析物の回収速度を増大させるために超音波振動を皮膚ま たは粘膜に付与する工程をさらに包含する、請求項35に記載の方法。 38.前記超音波振動が、周波数、強度、位相、またはそれらの組み合わせにお いて変調される、請求項37に記載の方法。 39.前記超音波振動が、約2000Hzないし約100MHzの範囲にある、請求項3 8に記載の方法。 40.超音波振動を付与することにより、毛管作用による間質液の移動を向上さ せる、請求項35に記載の方法。 41.前記選択された分析物がグルコースである、請求項35に記載の方法。 42.前記穴または前記水路が遮断されるのを防ぐために抗凝固剤を適用する工 程をさらに包含する、請求項35に記載の方法。 43.身体に液体形態の薬物を経皮送達または経粘膜送達する方法であって、 (a)下面および上面を備えるベースと、 該ベースの下面から延びる複数の穿孔部材であって、下層組織を有意に 損傷することなく、皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減するに十分な深さまで 穿孔するよう構成された穿孔部材と、 該ベースの下面から該ベースの上面まで延びる複数の穴であって、毛管 作用によりそこを液体が通過することを可能にするよう構成された穴と、 該穴と相互接続するように該ベースの上面に形成された水路網とを備え 、上記水路網が貯蔵器を有するデバイスを提供する工程と、 (b)該複数の穿孔部材が皮膚または粘膜にその障壁特性を低減させるに十分な 深さまで穿孔するように、該デバイスを皮膚または粘膜と接触させる工程と、 (c)該薬物が該貯蔵器から該水路および該穴を通って皮膚または粘膜の穿孔部 位へ移動して身体に入るように、該貯蔵器に該薬物を供給する工程、 とを包含する、方法。 44.身体への薬物の送達速度を増大させるために、圧力を付与する工程をさら に包含する、請求項43に記載の方法。 45.身体への薬物の送達速度を増大させるために皮膚または粘膜に超音波振動 を付与する工程をさらに包含する、請求項43に記載の方法。 46.前記超音波振動が、周波数、強度、位相またはそれらの組み合わせにおい て変調される、請求項45に記載の方法。 47.前記超音波振動が約2000Hzないし約100MHzの範囲にある、請求項45 に記載の方法。 48.前記液体形態の薬物が、前記デバイスの適用が原因である身体への傷害を 低減するために、刺激防止剤、防腐剤、または鎮痛剤をさらに含む、請求項43に 記載の方法。
