Abstract

Class 126 [Also in Group XIII] In an air and water heating apparatus in which the air is heated in passing over flue tubes T heated by a gas burner B, generally as described in Specifications 674,047 or 900,768 [Group XIII], the water heater 1 is heated by a separate gas burner 2, and the combustion gases from both burners are discharged through independent primary flues E, 23 into a common chamber or passage 4 which may be tubular (Fig. 2, not shown) and from which downdraught is excluded by a baffle D<SP>1</SP> located either aboveor(asshown)belowthechimney6therefrom. In the apparatus shown the combustion gases from the water-heater burner 2 discharge through a primary flue outlet 3 above which is positioned a downdraught baffle or diverter 20.
