[Also in Group XIII] In a boiler having a fire tube and associated multiple gas flues within a water-filled shell, draft is induced by a fan disposed in a chamber in the shell. A motor-driven fan 28, Fig. 1, mounted on a readily detachable boiler head plate 14, is located in an annular-shaped chamber 30, Fig. 2, within a shell 10 and adjacent a chamber into which pass combustion gases after their passage from a fire tube 13 through flues 18. In expelling the gas through an outlet 36, combustion air, for a liquid or gas fuel burner 16, is drawn by the face into the tube 13 round a shield 15.
