Abstract
Burner for heat treatment furnaces with a combustion chamber (I) from whence fumes penetrate into the furnace, passing through a narrowed opening, with a central air inlet chamber (II) which debouches into (I), the air passing through openings perpendicular to the burner axis, and with a gas inlet chamber which surrounds (II) and which debouches into (I) parallel to the openings. An optical flame detection probe is mounted at the end of (II) facing (I), radiation from the flame in (I) but not from the furnace falling on the probe by passing through a hole in a plate separating (II) from (I).
