Abstract

845,318. Baffles. GAS COUNCIL. Nov. 27, 1958 [Aug. 27, 1957], No. 27012/57. Class 126. [Also in Group XIII] In a gas-fired hot-water boiler (see Group XIII) having an annular water-chamber 11, through the central space 14 of which hot gases pass, a conical deflector 22 is arranged axially to deflect the gases over fins 21 projecting radially from the inner surface of the chamber 11. Thereafter the gases escape downwardly through an annular flue 17 surrounding the chamber 11 and having radial fins 24 projecting from each of its walls.
