827,303. Gas burners. SCHLANGEN, A. Sept. 10, 1956 [Sept. 9, 1955], No. 27655/56. Class 75(1) In a burner for singeing fabrics having a slit 11 for the discharge of combustion products, a second mixing chamber 4 is arranged downstream of a first mixing chamber 3 and a combustion chamber 7 having a pear-shaped cross-section is arranged downstream of the second mixing chamber 4, the openings, e.g. slits, between the chambers being in line. The second mixing chamber 4 and the combustion chamber 7 are formed by fireclay bricks. Ribs 9, 10 on the bricks at the upper part of the combustion chamber are brought to red heat by the combustion.
