Abstract

1,162,874. Gas burners. V. J. SIMPSON. 16 April, 1968 [30 May, 1967], No. 24930/67. Heading F4T. An aerated burner for use with a balanced flue or SE-duct flue and having an injector nozzle 15 and mixing chamber 18 has the air entry for the mixing chamber constituted by an annular region 10, around the gas entry tube, which is bounded externally by a series of plates 20 of circular form with raised sectors 21 and clamped in a stack by a bolt 26 to form flow paths between the plates, which plates are of material such as copper or aluminium of good thermal conductivity and form a heat flow path to the combustion chamber front plate 8 so that the combustion air which can only enter through a sealed duct 4 is cooled before being supplied together mixing chamber.
