A domestic gas fire comprises a radiant panel 1, an insulating brick back 2, a burner 3 along the bottom of said panel 1, burning a mixture of rich gas and primary air, and means, e.g. a fan, for causing secondary combustion air to rise through the ducts 6, formed by front and rear baffle plates 5 spaced from the burner 3, to complete the combustion of the gas. The burner comprises a common manifold having a chamber containing a mixture of the gas and the primary air with a number of burner nozzles situated along the top.
