Abstract

657,943. Radiant heaters. SOUTH EASTERN GAS BOARD, FUIDGE, G. H., and HUTTON, A. L. June 2, 1949, No. 14852. [Class 126] A gas heating device is provided with a balanced flue and a heat radiant panel. The heater has a casing a within which is a chamber divided by a vertical plate b into a front combustion chamber c and rear inlet and outlet ducts. A cut-away portion c<SP>2</SP> of the combustion chamber c is covered by a metal radiant panel h behind which on the rear wall b of the combustion .chamber c is another metal panel j, a V- shaped baffle k being positioned between the two panels. Insulation n is disposed between the rear panel j, and the rear combustion chamber wall. The outlet duct behind the combustion chamber c is connected with an outlet flue e in the wall f of the room, the inlet duct behind the combustion chamber c being connected with an inlet flue d surrounding the outlet flue e.
