Abstract

1,044,943. Air heaters. OATLEY TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. Oct. 11, 1962 [Oct. 11, 1961], No. 36432/61. Heading F4S. An incandescent gas fire has a convection air heater 21, the front wall 22 of which is apertured opposite the backs of the radiants 10 which rest against this wall. The gas fire comprises a frame 4 within a casing 5. The radiants 10 are mounted above a double row of burner jets 9 on the burner tube 8 which is mounted on a flange 7. A heat exchanger 13 leads to a flue outlet 15, and the air heater 21 fitted behind the radiants. The air heater is mounted in a duct 16 having integral sides 17 and a back plate 18. A corrugated partition 23 is secured behind the front wall 22. Air enters through the grille 28, passes through and around the air heater and issues from the grille 29.
