The form shown is provided with vertical slits f in the front wall, through which pass the gases of combustion and the heat radiated from the incandescent rear wall p. An insulating wall q is provided at the rear. The gases from the slits f pass respectively up and down ducts l, n in an air-heater g above the stove, the air passing up the central duct m to the room.
