Abstract
567,282. Heating air. HEATING CONSTRUCTION, Ltd., and DARBY, H, G. Dec. 11, 1943, No. 20762. [Class 64 (iii)] [ Also in Group XI] An incandescent gas fire comprises a concave reflector with a radiant disposed near its edge and a flue behind the reflector. As shown, the reflector 10 has a horizontal gap in which is placed the radiant 21 heated by burners 20 and the flue is formed between the back of the reflector and a baffle 17 fitted with fins 18. Air is supplied through apertures 15 and 25, some of which passes behind the baffle 17 and round the flue to be discharged into the room through apertures 13. In other forms, the flue is tubular and radiants are vertically disposed against a curved fire back.
