603,926. Electric fires. CATON, H. F. P.. and PRITTY. G. N. Nov. 6, 1945, No. 29448. [Class 39(iii)] An .electric fire comprises a casing 12 having an elongated opening 17 centrally disposed at the front, heating elements 20 parallel to the greater axis of the opening and offset from the centre to lie within the casing, and a dual reflector 21 having a ridge 23 lying on the greater axis of the opening. The reflector consists of parabolic portions 21 surrounding the heaters and curved parts 22 terminating in the ridge 23. The casing is circular in front section, and has ridges 15 to improve the appearance, In modifications, the casing is rectangular, and shaped to fit into the corner of a room, or the elements and central ridge of the reflector each lie in a horizontal plane.
