[Class 126] A domestic heating and cooking appliance in which vaporized fuel is supplied to an incandescent mantle burner E arranged in front of a curved reflector A is formed with side plates B wider at one end B' so that it can rest on a horizontal surface with the reflector either horizontal or vertical, a hinged guard H extending across the front of the burner and serving, when the reflector is in the horizontal position shown in Fig. 2, as a support for a cooking vessel J. The fuel reservoir is housed behind the reflector between the wide ends B<1> of the side plates, the fuel and air for combustion being respectively supplied to the burner by tubes D, G passing through the reflector.
