Abstract
583,383. Hot-water boilers. RUSHWORTH, W. July 29, 1944, No. 14503. [Class 64 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A domestic boiler 11 with a number'of fire tubes 12 at its upper end leading through the boiler from a flue 13 on its rear side to an exhaust flue on its front side occupies substantially the whole height of the space at the back of the fire grate. A damper 16 rests at its ends on lugs 10 attached to the 'front of the boiler, and is adjustable by a notched handle 17 engaging an open-sided eye in a lug 18. The bottom edge of -the damper is cut away except at the ends, so that in all positions of the damper some of the combustion products can pass directly to the chimney flue 21.
