In a balanced flue outlet terminal unit for gas fired appliances mounted in an opening in a wall 1 and comprising a terminal box 4 with an inlet pipe 2 and a flue outlet pipe 3, a forced-draught fan or blower 6 driven by an electric motor is connected in the flue pipe 3. The terminal box has a metal gauze covering 5. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the fan is mounted within the thickness of the wall and the pipes 2, 3 are connected to trunking-like ducts themselves connected to gas-fired appliances at widely spaced points.
