[Also in Division F4] A gas burner comprises two sheet-metal complementary half sections 60, 62 forming between them an air/gas inlet 86, mixing chamber 82 and a chamber 70 which distributes the mixture to burner ports 74 formed by laterally off-setting the upper edges 94 of the half-sections, and disposing between them a metal divider strip 64 which is held in position by inwardly struck protuberances 96. The extreme upper edges of the half-sections are also flared outwardly away from each other and the remaining peripheral edge is secured by beading as at (110), Fig. 10 (not shown). Additional securing means comprise tongues (100), Fig. 8 (not shown), formed in one half-section which project through aligned holes (102), (104) in the divider strip and the other half-section. Flat mating portions of the half-sections are formed with openings 92 and 93, the peripheral edges of which are secured by beading.
