Abstract

1466232 Burners BLOOM ENG CO Inc 7 July 1975 28599/75 Heading F4T A burner for a hot-blast stove comprises axially aligned elliptical-like walls 12, 13, positioned at the bottom of a combustion chamber 11, a gas inlet 16 extending to a mixing chamber 15, a combustion-air inlet 17 extending to the annulus 14 between the walls, and a baffle 18 formed on the inner wall 13, which has at least one row of combustion air apertures 19, extending from the annulus to the mixing chamber in an upwardly convergent, oblique fashion. The walls and the baffle are formed of refractoly shapes. A pilot burner 22 is provided.
