Abstract

768,500. Lamp-holders. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. April 7, 1955, No. 10314/55. Class 38 (1). In a holder for one end of a double-ended bayonet capped lamp, comprising a body 1 on which is slidable a sleeve 3 adapted to surround the lamp cap and prevent disengagement thereof from the holder in a direction transverse to the axis of the lamp, a single contact-carrying member 2 is slidable in a recess in the body. The contacts comprise springs 9 secured at their inner ends to terminals 10 and jointly biasing the member 2 outwards, the outer ends of the springs extending through apertures 13 in member 2 and being bent over to form bowed contact portions 14. One bayonet pin 7 enters a recess in the member 2 to locate the lamp cap correctly and also engages an earthing spring 20. Specification 666,097 is referred to.
