Abstract

667,810. Lamp-holders. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS, Inc. Dec. 30, 1949 [Dec. 31, 1948; March 3, 1949], Nos. 33403/49 and 33404/49. Class 38 (i). A holder 2 for a tubular lamp 3 having a, single pin-contact at each end, comprises a cup-shaped housing 5 apertured at 10 and slidably receiving an insulating member 7 which has a lamp contact 15 at one end and a tail 9 projecting through the aperture 10. A spring 11 biases the member 7. The tail 9 has splines 17 which engage notches 18 at the aperture 10. A collar 12 prevents the member 7 being ejected from the housing which has a mounting flange 6. The holder 4 for the other lamp-end comprises an insulating body 20 having fixed contacts bridged by the lamp pin to complete the circuit to the lamp. Specification 604,237 is referred to.
